As part of the Folica Blogger Program, I get the opportunity to occasionally test out new excited products that the site offers, (I know, feel very very bad for me), and the item du jour was Sally Hershberger Supreme Lift for Thin Hair, $13, at Folica.com.

Liquify Lids & Lashes with Brit Brand Eyeko
Eyeko is making waves as of late for partnering with fashion icon, broadcaster, and writer Alexa Chung, however, the British eye-makeup only brand which focuses on mascara, eye liner, brow gel and a lash curler, available at Sephora, Space.NK, and Selfridges (in addition to the brand’s website) since 1999 has been mastering the tightly edited selection of beloved eye products. While you have to wait until November to shop Alexa’s limited edition eye set with Eyeko, you can pick up my top suggestions from the brand, starting… now!
My #1 mascara: Curvy Brush ($19), because you can do away with the curler (the results are THAT visible), is smudge and flake-free, while coming off easily and conditions lashes with keratin and shea butter. #2 Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Navy Blue ($16), it may be daunting at first, as the tip looks like an extra fine Sharpie, however, the application is quite precise. Any one can make a decent black eye liner, but to be able to pull of the right shade of color, that doesn’t look too juvenile, sparkly, or bright, takes skill, which Eyeko most certainly does!

Fashion Pulse Beauty Flash

I kicked off last week with a celebration of mark.’s 10th anniversary, with current mark. brand ambassador Lucy Hale (of TV show “Pretty Little Liars” fame). If you are familiar with Avon but not mark., the brand, through its m.powerment initiative is to break the cycle of dating abuse and partner violence with a portion of proceeds from select items going to the education and prevention programs. Both fashion and beauty items are available through the mark. brand’s website, with some FABULOUS jewelry and footwear options currently available that I have my eye on!

e.l.f. time!! New products have arrived that are the definition of good bang for your buck! The new trio of items from e.l.f. (eyes, lips, face)are the HD Mattifying Cream Foundation (available in six shades; $6) which is lightweight, perfect for normal to oily skin and minimizes lines, the Acne Fighting Foundation (also available in six shades; $6) conceals, heals ans soothes skin with witch hazel, camphor aloe and tea tree, and the Studio HD Lifting Concealer (available in six shades; $3) with vitamin C, green tea and mulberry to minimize and prevent fine lines and imperfections.

Skintimate brought me into its celebration of new Signature Scents Moisturizing Shave Gels ($2.79 for the 7 oz bottle; Raspberry Rain only available in a 2.75 oz can for $1.99) yesterday with a colorful (and flavorful) box of the delicate dessert du jour, macarons, from Maison Lauduree in NYC and three of its newest offerings. There’s a scent for every desire, with fragrances including Luscious Kiwi Splash, Jasmine Meadows, Flirty Mango, Strawberry Tangerine Twist, Tropical Splash, and Raspberry Rain. Each bottle includes 11 moisturizers, vitamins (B5, E) and an antioxidant to protect, hydrate, and smooth. Plus, it’s great timing, as even though the summer is ending (boo!!!) sleek, shaved legs are ALWAYS in season! Good timing too, as my brand new Schick Quattro for Women Disposables Limited Edition Floral Razor Pack for sensitive skin (with two hypo-allergenic aloe formula conditioning strips; $7.39 for a 3-pack) was starting to get VERY lonely in the shower!

Get extra long wear out of your shadows with this new line, which offer a highly pigmented yet creamy and smooth application, available in single, duo, or quad palettes (pictured). In the quad palette, you also get a diagram on where to apply which color so that you end up with an expertly crafted, dazzling eye effect without a makeup artist on-hand! Increase the wear of your shadows of up to 12 hours with the All About Shadow Primer for Eyes, which is unusual for a primer is also that this can be worn alone to achieve a naturally smooth, crease free eyelid look, and is available in four skin tones (very fair, moderately fair, medium, and deep).
Plus, you can further accent that eye aesthetic with six new shades of Quickliner for Eyes Intense ($16), with an additional two limited edition shades (Intense Sable and Intense Cobalt).
In a few short weeks, the Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus Smooths, Restores, Corrects will be here (available starting in September; $47.50 for the 30ml; $73 for the 50ml), which will help expedite the skin renewal process while resurfacing a bit to get that new, smooth, youthful layer of skin, faster! I have a feeling my Mom is going to confiscate this product off of me on she catches wind of the launch, since the new Repairwear Laser Focus also aids in firming the skin against lines and wrinkles with its whey protein and bio-peptide acetyl hexapeptide-8 ingredients, while correcting UV damage with ingredients Vitamins C and E, liposomes, plankton, and arabidopsis thaliana extracts.
