If you live in, or are visiting San Francisco or New York, some last minute r&r is just a few clicks away. With the app MassageNow, you can book a same-day massage, facial or waxing appointment, and if that doesn’t sound good already, the rates are discounted by 20%-40%! The spas themselves are listed using geo-location technology and categorized as well, ranked as Boutique, Standard, Luxe, and Upscale so you know a bit more about the type of spa and service you’re in for and the cost, which comes in handy if you are unfamiliar with the location.
Since the app service has the word “massage” in it, I figured my first experience should probably be a massage, which I booked about two hours from my appointment time, feeling particularly sore and beat up that day from a seven-hour drive the day before. The cost of the service, tax, and gratuity were all taken care of at the booking of the massage via MassageNow, which made arriving and leaving so much faster, and easier than usual. I went to a spa by my office that I had visited before so that I had a base of comparison for my experience, and I was treated no different than a regular client, with the added bonus of not having to dig through my bag for my credit card after having a super relaxing experience.
Sometimes wanting to get a massage or facial is a spontaneous thing, and why not use a service that saves you money and makes paying ultra convenient for you, especially since you can’t always tip on a credit card?

Instead, a concentrated mix of oils lends itself to be distributed gradually to the skin, not unlike that of a fragrance’s notes. There are very few makeup brands that I can confidently say that when a new collection comes out, I want to keep all of the items as part of my permanent cosmetics rotation.The latest from Maybelline touches on all of the essential makeup bases with practical products and colors that will have you excited to test them out for yourself.
I’ve focused on four of my favorites here, starting on the far left with the Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color ($7.99), which offers up a richly pigmented color that applies like a gloss, and dries lie the most matte of matte lip sticks without any drying effects. Next up is the Eye Studio Color Tattoo Concentrated Crayon ($9.99), actually my favorite way in which to apply shadow to my lids. It slides onto the eyelids with ease, great for all-over cover in a slightly shimmered, creamy format. A great way to ensure that your makeup look stays the course is with a finishing/setting spray, and the Face Studio Master Fix Setting Spray ($12.99), is a quick way to mist and set your look, especially when you’ve got a long day and/or inclement weather ahead of you. The Dream Velvet Gel-Whipped Foundation is a long-lasting formula ($10.99), that is an interesting hybrid of textures – not quite a foundation, nor a BB or CC Cream but provides a nice level of coverage and hydration that is described as a “powder gel” formula.
