The debut of the live-action version of Walt Disney Pictures’ Beauty and the Beast is just around the corner (March 17th, 2017), but thanks to Morgan Taylor, you can partake in the film’s pretty color palette much sooner. Inspired by the whimsical range of shades in the film that range from metallic to assertive red to pastels, the seven-piece lineup includes themed color names that tie-in with the film, such as The Last Petal, Be Our Guest, and Gaston And On And On. The shades are available in advance of the movie’s release, starting this month, for a limited time at $9 each at Morgan Taylor‘s website, while all of the collection minus Enchanted Patina (the first polish pictured) are available at Sally Beauty for $12.99 each in the patented, long lasting Gelish Mini bottle formula.
There’s a lot of excitement at Bite Beauty these days, and I’m thrilled to bring you the latest launch – the new Amuse Bouche Limited Edition Edgy Neutrals Collection! Four shades have been added to the repertoire of four previously existing ones in a range of taupe, grey, and brown, a little off-kilter from your more traditional go-tos of pinks, reds, and coral. If there’s anything more telling that the sultry, pouty earth-tone shades of the early ’90s are back, this is certainly the sign we’ve been looking for! The newest offerings are dubbed Portobello, Cremini, Enoki, and Porcini, feature the signature Amuse Bouche citrus scent, are ultra creamy, and the epitome of hydration. As always, all Bite Beauty lip products are formulated without parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, or phthalates.
The new limited edition shades are available for $26 each at Sephora and Sephora.com.
Small changes, be it physical or psychological are always a traditional, yet fantastic way to kick off a new year, and for 2017, I am actively doing both. From increasing physical exercise to more “me” time and mindfulness practices, I feel that I’m getting to a better place already, so why not bring my hair along with me? Courtesy of Clairol, I spent some time with the talented James Corbett, the brand’s Color Director, who envisioned a brighter hair future for me, and naturally, always up for a bit of a change, I agreed with the exciting new direction.
Using the Natural Instincts in Spiced Tea, James instantly brought a deeper, brighter, warmer tone to my tresses, which after this initial coloring session, I can easily maintain on my own. If you’d like to do the same, try the augmented reality hair color MyShade application, afirst-of-its-kind app in which users can scan any permanent at-home hair color item to virtually try it on their own tresses and match it to the closet Clairol shade. It’s an easy, custom way to get a great match without spending salon prices. Download the app for iOS here or Google Play here.
The 80-year-old leading UK beauty brand No7 is really, REALLY excited about the launch of it’s latest skincare item, and I think you should be too. Its Lift & Luminate TRIPLE ACTION Serum is it’s first clinical trial-proven serum, and utilized the latest breakthroughs in anti-wrinkle technology to work toward the ultimate skin firmness and evenness. Designated for women over 40, a specially-curated combination of catch-all ingredients address all signs of aging, utilizing familiar items such as hibiscus extract and hyaluronic acid paired with Matrixyl 3000 PLUS and Lightening Complex of Indian gooseberry, Vitamin C and gluconolatonefade pigmentation, firm, smooth, and support collagen production to achieve an overall more youthful appearance. Clinical trials have given results of improvement after just two weeks (according to 87% of participants), while after six months, 89% of participants felt that they saw a visible reduction in the appearance of wrinkles. Not too shabby, to say the least!
While I’m remiss to share ad campaign details for any product, I do have to note that No7’s is exceptional. Dubbed “READY,” the brand has tapped ballerina Alessandra Ferri, who at 52, has come out of retirement and returned to the Royal Ballet after a decades-long career of dance. Serving as inspiration, Ferri is “Ready for More,” in the latest ad campaign, a video that juxtaposes her 19 year-old self dancing alongside her (see video above). It’s a great reminder to be empowered to look and feel your best to tackle life’s hurdles and challenges with aplomb. Are you ready for more? Go for it!
The No7: Lift & Luminate TRIPLE ACTION Serum is$33.99, available at Walgreens, Target, and select Ulta stores and Walgreens.com, Target.com, and Ulta.com.
