Start out the New Year with Sexy Soles
Let your insoles multi-task while your feet relax with the Foot Petals Sexy Soles Customizable inserts. Cut down to match your shoe size and shoe shape – round or pointy toe options. Here’s what it does:
- reduces sweaty soles via the material PORON
- includes arch support
- absorbs shock
- is non-latex and hypoallergenic
After receiving a pair for review and analyzing my options, I decided these would definitely come in handy in a pair of United Nude Lo-Res heels that after standing in for a few hours, all I can think about is getting home and soaking my feet! The Sexy Soles insoles retail for $18.95 and are available at mass retailers nationwide, as well as FootPetals.com, ShoeBuy.com, and Amazon.com. *Note: I trimmed a full size down for these to fit into my shoes, so don’t be afraid to cut off more than your actual shoe size so that it comfortably fits, without bunching, or sliding, in your footwear.

Maybelline, the Queen of Mascara’s Latest Offering: One by One Volum’ Express
Although Maybelline does many things exceptionally well, mascara is really at the root of the company, being the first product it ever created. The latest offering, One by One Volum’ Express, debuts four years of research in the making, spawning “The Last Catcher,” an elastomer brush that catches, coats, and declumps each individual lash. After giving the new mascara a test run, the tapered shape of the brush left me certainly clump free, with lash definition, opposed to one long, fanned lash look. The Maybelline One by One Volum’ Expres hits shelves this January 2011, with options in three washable and two waterproof shades.
Available at Target, and other beauty and drugstore chains nationwide.

Whole Foods Whole Body for the Holidays
I recently took a stroll through the spectacular Whole Foods at Houston and Second Avenue in NYC for a press event, which houses a spacious second floor area with an organic, natural version of any health and beauty product you could possibly think of! From toothpaste to deodorant and cosmetics, they’ve really got it all covered. One of my favorite products from the day was the bath salts (pictured above) that you can scoop out and pay for by the pound. At Whole Foods in the tri-state area (New Jersey, Connecticut, New York) you can receive complimentary gift wrapping on your gift purchases, which can expand beyond the Whole Body section of the store. For example, for that fitness lover, get them some sunscreen, a water bottle, and protein bars as a fun gift set.

I mainly oohed and awed over the Whole Body section which carried such an extensive depth and breadth of products by a variety of brands, some local, and even some fitness and home decor items such as yoga mats and candles. Whole Foods also offers pre-packaged gift sets which start at just $6.99 for their proprietary brand, 365, which includes two 16 oz bottles of gel, lotion, shampoo, and the like, and also carries the Premium Body Care Seal, which means it meets natural and organic standards -and do not contain ingredients such as parabens, polypropylene and polyethylene glycols, sodium lauryl and laureth sulfates. If you have a Whole Foods in your area, give the Whole Body section or aisle a second glance when thinking about holiday gifts this year!
P.S. – stay tuned for a giveaway to win a set of Whole Foods 365 products!
