[the blow products]

Don’t you just love a good transformation? I certainly can appreciate one! I recently went to blow, the New York blow dry bar, to review for a complimentary blow out session, and I can relay that on all fronts, it certainly exceeded my expectations. Paired with the congenial and extremely talented Gregory Patterson, I found out that blow, although the purveyor of the blow dry bar, offers a full line of services from blow outs (prices range from $40-$60), styling, cutting, color, treatments, and is a celebrity favorite.

Gregory got right away a look in mind that would give me a boost, while still maintaining ‘me.’ End result? A much needed improvement — and trust me, I am picky about my hair alterations (I just took the scissors into my own hands and fixed a bang trim that was not up to par!).
The experience: my hair was first prepped via a thoroughly relaxing and ever-so-slightly aroma-ed wash, then back to the station for blow drying, some light curling, and a dash of products for body, texture, and hold. Blow also offers a full line of blow products, and naturally, the one that most caught my eye was the faux dry dry shampoo ($20), a finely milled concoction that you puff in spurts into your hair, completely free of the stickiness of sprays. Gregory used this on my coif, as it adds texture to even clean hair, as well as a touch of beach blow texturizing mist, blow up thickening mist, mane tame soft pomade, and blow out serious non-stick hair spray.
The wrap-up: thumbs up to Gregory for a magnificent job, bonus points for having the service last only an hour, and two blow Manhattan locations to best serve your hair needs is super convenient, with walk-ins welcome!
