The new Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush, $89.50, JUST became available at Clinique.com, while it launches nationwide August 15th. Created to work specifically with Clinique’s famous 3-Step Skin Care System, the rechargeable Swiss-engineered gadget easily fits in in your hand thanks to its ergonomic handle, with an oval shaped brush head and two different thicknesses that’s contoured to clean hard-to-reach places such as around the hairline, chin, and nose.

So why would you use a brush, when you’ve been using the 3-Step system anyways, might you ask? As this brush effortlessly glides over your skin, it will help to unclog pores, while leaving skin smooth and polished in a gentle manner, and more receptive to absorb the lotion/cream/serum. The self-timing, waterproof brush goes for 30 seconds at a time so that you can thoroughly clean your face for as little or as long as you’d like, ideally building up to using it for one minute, twice a day. The bristles themselves include silver in order to benefit from its microbial properties to keep everything bacteria-free, especially since your brush will be wet and kept in a damp, moist place.
