After not 100% pleased with my overall smoothness once seeing this dress in a recent post, I decided to submit it for a shapewear makeover, or rather, “make-under” for the exclusive shapewear event with BareNecessities.com Style Director Jenny Altman.
Consisting of a fabulous makeup application by senior artist Keri Blair of Mac Cosmetics and a fitting with several shapewear options, I donned the Yummie Tummie Strapless Slip with Lace Hem, $86, underneath my asymmetrical black dress. I never would have thought of it, but this option is actually quite versatile, eliminating having to wear a strapless bra and worry about any type of shapewear/pantyhose combination. Plus, since it is in nude, it can definitely be worn under other items in my wardrobe that may be a bit transparent. Gaining some styling tips and advice from Jenny was a highlight of the evening, since shapewear is far from my forte, although an integral part of most women’s everyday routine.
