Seed Phytonutrients for the Sustainable Win!
Based in Doylestown, PA, Seed founder Shane Wolf has previous experience as an executive at renowned brands Aveda, Redken, and Pureology, and in fact, Seed operates uniquely as an independent venture funded by L’Oréal. One of the (many) cool things about this sustainable beauty brand is that it not only has carefully considered the ingredients (which contain nutrient-rich omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, phytosterols, carotene and vitamins A, C, D and E), but also the packaging has not been left behind. The brand has included not only recycled and recyclable packaging, but specially-created shower-friendly paper bottles, made of 100% post-consumer recycled paper with a post-consumer recycled plastic liner. This equates to an amazing percentage of 60% less plastic used, compared to a standard bottle!
As you can probably tell, I’m all-around pretty enthusiastic about Seed Phytonutrients and hope you are too! Prices range from $12-$55 and can be purchased online at the brand’s website.

In the end, Alex and I chose a bright opaque nude, essie’s Topless & Barefoot, and finished it with essie Matte About You Topcoat so that the finished look would feel raw, not dainty.

As a new mom, anything that resembles “me time” these days is nothing like what it used to be, so the less things that I have to do with the limited time allotted to me is a major plus. Lately I’ve discovered a handful of fantastic skincare and cosmetic items that have repeatedly saved the day (and a lot of time) despite the spike in the warm weather, thanks to their multi-tasking properties and efficacy that I thought you’d appreciate too.
Excellent hydration, superior SPF, and long-lasting products are at the core of what I need these days (and hey, don;t we all?), so read on for my top recommendations (aka lifesavers) to get you beautifully through the summer heat.
Most mornings only allow me with enough time to put some sort of moisturizer on my face and that’s it, so if there’s time for only one, it better have SPF in it! The RoC Multi Correxion 5-in-1 Daily Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($20.99) does SO much in so little time if it was a person it would certainly be a professional multi-tasker. It fights the signs of aging, imparts hydration AND SPF so…what more could you want from your moisturizer? Yep, that’s what I thought!
