This fall, Jane Iredale showcases a well-edited selection of products for eye, lips and brows in her Fashion Forward lineup. It includes the Retractable Brow Pencil ($20), a waterproof, smudge-proof medium coverage shades of Blonde, Brunette, and Dark Brunette, and Cindy PureMoist Lipstick ($25), in a classic red shade perfect for the warmer fall hues featuring the signature formula of Moringa, avocado, and sunflower seed oils, Vitamins A&C, coffee seed, pomegranate and blackberry fruit extracts. I saved my favorite item of the season for last, which is the Smooth Affair for Eyes ($32), a lovely little pot full of a smudge-proof, crease-proof eye shadow and primer in one, which has the power to minimize fine lines and color correct. Sounds pretty fantastic, right? It’s available in six light and lovely shades, and just like the other aforementioned items, you get the highest quality of minerals and natural skincare items in each formula, with everything available at JaneIredale.com now.

NYFW Spring 2017 Personal Style: All About the Lace
New York Fashion Week is the time when you bring out the big fashion guns, dressing your best, but also if you are prudent, balancing the right amount of comfort with pizazz. I really wanted to take part in the lace trend, as I just find the execution of lace dresses these days absolutely stunning. Looking to some of my favorite designers for the look, I settled on a piece from Nanette Lepore, which has the right amount covered up in the right places, as lace can tend to be see-through, and I wanted the focus to be on the collections, not how visible my underwear may be!
The right foundation garments are important, and nude-colored spandex shorts have replaced the slip, which add for extra movement and lower the visibility of seeing what is underneath. You’re bound to see another lace garment or two on Fashion Pulse Daily soon, but until then, stay tuned for more NYFW looks.

NYFW Spring 2017 Trend Report: Culottes
When I think of the culotte, the first thing that comes to mind is a fond memory of my grandmother in a vibrantly hued, polyester version, and the second thing I think of is…pass. There’s no denying that this summer we saw the rise in hemlines when it came to denim, mimicking a culotte-like frayed and abbreviated flair, and with the arrival of spring 2017, the trend gets pushed even further, popping up as the “it” length for pants of all kinds. The most essential element to pull of this look without looking too costumey or unintentionally retro is to balance it with the right footwear.
Streamlined, sturdy, and simple are the best sole mates for the look, be it in a sandal, sneaker, or even boot. A simple strap across the toe and ankles, a classic white leather or canvas sneaker, or a slick boot, slim enough to slip inside the wide pant leg will be your best footwear alliances with the look. The hardest part is re-imagining your entire silhouette, and feeling truly comfortable with it. Regardless of if you “do the culotte” or not, there is no slowing down the direction of fashion, which, for the first time in a long time, is heading in a much wider leg direction (think gaucho pants).
It is, however, worth the effort, so that you can wear the incredibly cool versions from Timo Weiland, Whit, Banana Republic, Kuho, and J.Crew!
