Decades Denim
We recently celebrated the launch of some fab new styles from jeans experts Decades Denim. With stock in over 150 stores nationwide, it won’t be hard to get your hands on your own pair. The styles are all named; some after denim icons who have inspired designer Cameron Silver, like the Marilyn, and are geared to provide every woman with not just another pair of jeans, but a wardrobe staple.
Industry Press Preview
Earrings from Afaze, necklace by Brandy Pham
With a quick tour through the Industry Press showroom, we’re excited about several spring collections. Look to Brazilian designer Iodice for sultry draping and ruching on Grecian dresses. Kasil Jeans has collaborated with former “Rachel Zoe Project” star Taylor Jacobson to create easy skinny cargo jeans, seersucker slacks, and casual jeggings. The eco-chicsters can check out Stewart + Brown for organic knits, harem pants, and slouchy tanks. Fans of Claire’s and the accessories section of Forever 21 can hit up Afaze, a line of super affordable glam fashion jewelry, while Vietnamese-American jewelry designer Brandy Pham was inspired by every day life to bring us baubles full of gleaming metal, sparkle, and shine in an affordable price range of $28-$158.
MCM
We were fèted in the gorgeous penthouse of the Cooper Square Hotel by German luxury handbag line MCM, who celebrated their 35th anniversary by doing some exciting partnerships with renowned SATC stylist Patricia Field and contemporary artist Craig Redman. Field has added her touch to the line’s large canvas shopper, putting a face designed by one of her favorite artists, Martine, on the reversible bag. The port city of Shanghai was the inspiration for artist Craig Redman’s input, as he infused the bags with a colorful rope pattern that’s fun and whimsical.
Exposure PR Press Day
The Exposures PR Press Day clued FPD into what to look forward to from several fashionista favorites, including Fred Perry and his collaboration with Amy Winehouse, Isaora, DC, Nice Collective, Delphine Charlotte Parmentier, In Case, Levi’s, Globe-Trotter Luggage, Frank Tell, and Graeme Armour. Expect contemporary fabrics with a vintage feel, heavy leather, ethereal jewelry, streetwear that can transition straight to the slopes, and artistic laptop and iPad cases.
