Ralph Lauren brought Downtown Abbey alive on the runway during New York Fashion Week with his beautifully elegant, stand out evening dresses ranging to chic menswear with tweed and herringbone jackets topped off with newsboy caps. Flannel and wool trousers in black and brown were paired with vests and long tailored coats with an oversized tie for an exaggerated menswear look. Royal purple, fuchsia, and red made its accent appearances on the runway, as it tied in with a theme of nobility, giving the old English looks a modern twist. The runway switched from day to night, as menswear turned into glamorous, gold and black evening wear. Sequins and embellishments covered slinking evening dresses and tailored evening suits while the accessories stayed true to the overall feel of the collection.

We were asked what to wear to the upcoming Sundance Film Festival 2011! We thought nothing could be more classically American or emit that stylish western vibe than Ralph Lauren so we picked a few of his great pieces. Bundle up in RL’s ruffle cape and stretch black cords and accessorize with a little colorful infusion of turquoise and silver. We love the black and white palette that will work no matter where you are. Visit our post for great Ski Wear and Fun in the Snow To read more about Sundance Film Festival, see below! Sundance Film Festival
In 1981, Robert Redford gathered a group of his friends and colleagues in the mountains of Utah to create an environment designed to foster independence, discovery, and new voices in American film. That spring, ten emerging filmmakers were invited to the first Sundance Institute Filmmakers/Directors Lab where they worked with leading writers and directors to develop their original independent film projects. Lat night I attended the launch (along with Blake Lively) of the newest collection for Tiffany and Co. Eyewear, featuring the Iconic Tiffany Keys found on the arms of a variety of eye and sunwear both in 18 karat gold and lathered with crystals. Eyewear and sunwear was additionally adorned with the Tiffany Embrace engagement ring setting, the Signature “X” and heart designs, and some even in the hard to miss hue of Tiffany Blue® . The option is available to get prescription lenses put into most of the sunglasses, for those of you (like me) that are cursed with wearing glasses at all times!
Lauren Ralph Lauren Pink Pony Event at Lord & Taylor (and some merch you can get to support the cause)
Last night I also stopped at Lord & Taylor in support of the Pink Pony Fund for the launch of Lauren Pink, a line of apparel and home products with 10% of the sale of the Lauren Pink products will be donated to the Pink Pony Fund of the Polo Ralph Lauren foundation. There also was a ‘scavenger hunt’ throughout the store based on Lauren Ralph Lauren, with the prize being a candle from the collection. Above are a few of my favorite items from the collection. Estee Lauder Companies’ Take the Pledge Blogger Event to kickoff their Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
Elizabeth Hurley made an appearance at this Estee Lauder event, hosted at Bloomingdales. At the event Evelyn Lauder and Liz Hurley signed limited edition products with proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. You can submit your video pledge and upload it (as well as make a donation); there was a video booth set up at the store to do it on the spot!
