Day 5 – Valentine’s Day — but not for us fashionistas! It’s okay – that just means my boyfriend has even more time to prepare something spectacular, when we celebrate over the weekend, right? I guess it was in my subconscious, as I didn’t even intend to wear red today, but people get pointing it out-oops! I love this color on me the orangey red, that really pops on camera (I was doing video segments for most of the day, more to come about that soon!), plus it’s never too harsh against my pale skin, blonde hair, and light eyes. Pictures taken above are all from backstage – lots of running around, securing interviews, and learning! My very talented friend, Jen Paelmo did my hair and makeup for this day – thanks Jen!

Day 3 of Fashion Week was full of shows and running around, so I needed a break from my high heels and contact lenses! What I ended up wearing was a comfortable yet chic blend of reliable clothing, with a requisite pop of color

[Don’t you just love all the commotion in the background?]
I knew Day 2 of New York Fashion Week was going to be insanely busy, so I wanted to bring the glamour without going overboard, or being uncomfortable. Black and blue just felt right to me — especially if it’s the right shade of blue – you have to be sure you can tell it is blue, and not a deep deep shade of navy that could be mistaken for black. Anywho, I wrapped my day at 2:30am, so as you can imagine, I’ve been SLOW on getting posts up- I apologize. BUT, please check out my New York Fashion Week coverage (and I would sooo love it if you subscribe to my posts) here: at AOL StyleList, StyleCaster, Beauty High, and more! Videos to come soon as well!

Now in my 15th season of covering New York Fashion Week – a gal’s got to know what to bring, what to wear, and what to just not worry about! Luckily my ultra-chic wardrobe is taken care of this season, courtesy of Nicole Miller. Stay tuned throughout the week for looks from Nicole Miller Collection, as well as the affordable and hip Nicole by Nicole Miller line, available at JCPenney. Although the weather may be unbearable, I’ve got a selection of Nicole Miller tops, cardigans, and dresses to layer and stay chic, comfortable, and warm! The Nicole Miller runway show is today, 6pm: look forward to a future post and review, as well as exclusive interviews and access to the brand.
