I’m almost out of patience for the arrival of the spring, but at least I can look at some new pretty pretty polish shades to satisfy my desire for a colorful assortment of hues. Here’s a selection of my favorite collections from essie, Maybelline, and Deborah Lippmann.
The spring 2015 collection from essie is everything that you want for spring, and somehow, we are still waiting for it to truly be here. Oh well, as long as the sun’s not shining, at least our nail beds with be shining brightly! Inspired by spring blooms, found in both fashion and nature, the six shades offer an elegant range of hues, from “passionate plum dahlia” to “mint creme hydrangea” with some nude neutrals for something more on the subtle side. It’s certainly hard to pick a favorite, but I will readily admit I have a penchant for blue nail polish… Each bottle is available starting now for $8.50 each at fine salons and beauty destinations nationwide.
Spring showers bring…bridal flowers, and all things wedding-related seem to definitely kick into high gear as soon as April rolls around. In honor of brides and bridemaids everywhere, essie has debuted its bridal 2015 collection, a total of 12 shades with six new sheer ones in oftened, on-trend hues, such as a “coral-kissed pink,” “soft-spoken caramel,” and “radiant red orange.” I love the decorative bridal-inspired cap element which looks like delicate lace in order to add a little special something to your “big day” nail polish choice. The shades all feature alliterations and tongue-in-cheek wedding-related names, such as tying the knotie, hubby for dessert, worth the wait, brides to be, brides no grooms, and happy wife, happy life. As always, each polish is available for $8.50 each at fine salons and beauty destinations nationwide.

Inspired by the looks from the runway, Maybelline has created several FABULOUS limited edition nail options for the month of November. We are most excitecd about the Color Show Fashion Prints Nail Stickers, available in eight patterns including Fiece N Fuchsia, Midnight Lace, Wild Reptile, Metal Prisms, Cheetah Chic Sapphire Jewels, Divine Crocodile, and Resort Couture. If you’ve never used nail stickers before — it is so fast and easy – I’ve done them at my desk minutes before an event, and they work like a charm.
Here’s Maybelline’s application steps: 1.Select a sticker that best fits each nail. 2. Lay the sticker over the bare nail and apply a little pressure over the entire surface of the nail using the cuticle stick 3. Fold the spare top of sticker over nail tip and file away the extra length of sticker in a downward motion.
The second bit of excitement is the Sequins by Color Show Nail Lacquer, which is comprised of five gorgeous, dazzling shades of Ruby Rhinestones, Lavender Sparks, Silver Gleam, Gold’s Night Out, Sea-Quins, Rose Bling, Sapphire Masquerade and Cocktail Dress. Again, just for a limited time, this mini collection will look great layered over a neon, a neutral, or by themselves or your nails.
[I tried out the Cheetah Chic stickers and two Sequins shades courtesy of Maybelline this week!]
Retail prices are $7.99 for the Fashion Prints Nail Stickers and $3.99 for Sequins at mass market retailers . Remember, you ca only snag these stylish nail options during the month of November!

Last night at the launch event, I got a complimentary manicure with colors from the line, and selected shades Amethyst Ablaze and Fierce N Tangy to accent my ring finger nails!
