For Rag & Bone’s Resort 2018 collection, creating new riffs on essential staple pieces was the primary goal, largely manifesting itself in luxurious fabrics such as cashmere and velvet. With an emphasis on functionality, color, and premium fabrics, the range of pieces draw inspiration from American, British, and Japanese styles sport, sportswear, and work wear styles. Knitwear plays a big part in this lineup, as shown by a crewneck pullover in black, pink, and white stripes, as well as a cream colored embellished piece of the same style. Also notable are flared denim bottoms in both cropped and full length, plush sweatsuits, and understated, positive lettering that read “Merci,” “Have a Nice Day,” and “Let’s Dance.”

BB Dakota recently previewed its fall 2016 collection, packed with a bevy of feminine, lace-adorned dresses and ultra slouchy and cozy cardigans. For a brand that is known so well for its amazing outerwear, other pieces make just a big of an impact this coming season. The brand aims to create non-fussy clothing that is both comfortable and affordable, which it certainly does with the fall arrivals. Favorites include the Reyes dress, the Kimber skirt, and the Richelle sweater, which are all perfect for an idyllic fall day. The pieces are fashioned out of super soft fabrics, and since most are in neutral, earth tones, they’re also extremely versatile with your wardrobe.
The brand overall executes a very free-spirited look and mood, which assertively continues well into 2016. Make sure to keep a look out for the new fall collection in stores and online in the coming months, and click through the slideshow above to see more of our favorite pieces.
BB Dakota garments are available online at Shopbop, Urban Outfitters, Lulu’s, and Nasty Gal, and in select stores nationwide. Most products are priced at under $100, and you can find more information on BB Dakota products online at bbdakota.com.

Ted Baker recently launched its new Spring/Summer 2016 collection, complete with fresh, sunny prints and ultra feminine silhouettes. Included are many new takes on spring florals, a staple of the brand, with many of the pieces carrying a lightweight and airy feel, almost giving the impression of a watercolor painting (see the Bathany Hanging Gardens Bodycon Dress, $295). More formal and sophisticated styles are also incorporated into the collection, found in the expertly-tailored jackets and delicately embroidered midi dresses. With a color palette of neutral tones and soft pastels, there’s a piece for everyone for virtually any occasion, day or night. Other seasonal staples include the Braylee Burnout Cropped Jumpsuit ($349), the Eiraat Textured Skinny Pants, and the Madey Double Breasted Trench Coat ($465).
Pops of brighter colors appear in the swimwear, which includes pieces in navy stripes and vibrant coral detailing (see the Cirana Striped Twist Bandeau Swimsuit, $129). In the accessories department, both leather loafers and printed strappy sandals make an impression, as well as handbags adorned with checker and flowered prints. We’re now midway through London Fashion Week, and most designers are keeping it autumn-classic in the accessories department, with a color palette full of earthy blues, greens, and khakis, and the easily visible abundance of leather, python, and crocodile accents. Anya Hindmarch channeled the Eighties with her Pac-Man inspired collection, filled with bags of all types- from clutches to backpacks. Most were made in leather, crocodile, and snakeskin materials in camel, grey, and deep burgundy hues, each detailed with repeating star or square patterns perfectly fitting in with her video game themed runway. Burberry incorporated mostly compact, handheld bags with a thick, belt-like strap, and using very similar materials. Each piece featured a variety of color, most containing shades of brown, olive green, and yellow. Straps were finished with oversized buckles and metal embellishments, coinciding with a very military influenced collection.
Mulberry‘s Johnny Coca aimed to show looks depicting women that he had seen on the streets on London. The brand’s biggest money-maker, their bags, were truly a staple in the show. They were structured, with color blocking detail, chain and leather straps, and tones of green, navy, and beige python. Vivienne Westwood Red Label fits well into this group, inspired by Renaissance artists Donatello and El Greco, and also showing structured bags in beige and deep blue.
