Unless it is on my nails, I usually don’t like glitter or shimmer in my makeup. BUT in the Avon 12-in-1 Shimmering Eye Palette, $20, the shimmer is so subtle, I feel like I’m wearing something way more matte than the title might allude to. Colors that work with every eye color can be found in this palette, and I love the long, slender packaging with two applicator brushes, because come on – for 12 colors, one brush jut isn’t going to cut it! I used the third color from the left as a base, and then a thin line of the green (second from right) along the lash line, and was relieved to discover that these are certainly office appropriate hues, despite the fact that they define your eyes, they don’t make them sparkle like a disco ball.
