One of my favorite trends that’s been going strong for the last few seasons is ombré. Ombré comes from a French word meaning shaded or shadow, and refers to a graduated color scheme where color fades from dark to light (or the other way around). We’ve seen an ombré effect applied to hair, nail polish and fashion. There are tons of great ombré pieces in stores right now and at every price — here are a few that are just $20 or less– head to CollegeCandy.com to check out the rest!

One of the most popular colors of this summer was cobalt blue, a cool, deep shade that conjures up images of the ocean. Now summer may be drawing to a close, but this sapphire-tinted hue is set to be one of the hottest colors for fall as well. Multiple designers had cobalt shoes, dresses, and accessories on their Fall 2012 runways, but you don’t have to be able to afford designer threads to jump on this trend. Clothing racks at the mall are already filled with cobalt blue pieces that you can incorporate into your summer-to-fall wardrobe — here are a few affordable picks for just $20 or less! There’s nothing I love more than a great deal. That’s why I’m always shopping the clearance racks, browsing online sales, and looking for new stores with great prices. Papaya carries wardrobe staples along with trendy styles — and it’s friendly on a college student’s budget. Along with their cute clothes, Papaya also carries shoes and lots of cute jewelery and other accessories. I’ve shopped at Papaya in the mall, but I was super excited to see they have a great website to shop from as well. Here are just a few of the great items you can get for under $20 at Papaya.-

The Striped Racerback from Lanston is such a great summer tank! Super lightweight and luxurious-feeling, this tank actually lets your skin breathe without being sheer. The mismatch of horizontal and vertical stripes is unique and visually-appealing, and sure to be a welcome addition to your closet.
