Not surprisingly, Carolina Herrera stuck to her classically sophisticated aesthetic for her Fall/Winter 2010 collection. Appealing to a broad range of styles, the collection featured flirty floral dresses, sparkling sequin ensembles, and serious grays. The show began with stunning models strutting their stuff in swishy wide legged pants, fur trimmed coats, and cloche hats. As the show progressed, a number of elegant cocktail dresses appeared, leading to the grand finale of eye-catching, floor-grazing gowns. The gowns offered a different lifestyle with each piece; some for the ultra-feminine, die-hard romantics in floral prints with mermaid silhouettes, others destined for the red carpet, particularly a one shoulder chocolate silk faille gown with gold detailing that looks like it has been dusted on. Altogether the collection exuded a life of luxury with rich colors, materials, and excellent tailoring.
