To know me is to realize that I’m a very, very urban person, and although I appreciate a break form the city’s crowds, noise, and high prices, I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. I do, however, like the equestrian aesthetic of riding boots, jackets, and horseshoe or horsebit jewelry, and have indulged several times in pieces that are more reminiscent of country life than city living.
For fear of looking too costumey, I mix up those items with my everyday look, and there’s a reason why the styles haven’t shifted much over the years- they’re so classic! That makes them rife for an urban mash-up, which I did on this Monday as the weather is hovering around 40 degrees.
