Ever since my skin transitioned from the oily-teenage type to the much dryer, moisture-deprived current state of my mid-twenties, I’ve been addicted to a slew of moisturizers and foundations, and haven’t thought twice about reverting back to using a powder like I did in my Clinique-loving teen years. With the mineral makeup craze snowballing across all pricepoints, I was stumped as to how to best incorporate this into my foundation routine. However, I recently tried out the PurMinerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup SPF 15 in Light, $24.50 at Ulta.com, and was quite impressed with the super-airy, sheer texture of the product and overall coverage it provided. I liked that it didn’t make me work to use it (although it took a few seconds to get used to usin a brush again!) and is a foundation, concealer, finishing powder, shea butter, Vitamin E, and SPF all in one. Sure, I’ve still got my anti-aging moisturizer on underneath, but now I feel that my face can breathe a little easier without caking on any extra layers.
