The amazing lite-brite-esque lights used in the window display at Tory Burch’s stores
Last week I attended the resort preview for Tory Burch in her Meatpacking District store that also included a styling component. Check out the look I styled using clothing and accessories from the Tory Burch Resort Launch, now posted to the Tory Burch Facebook page, where fans can vote for their favorite look. The blogger with the most votes will get a $350 Tory Burch gift card. So I hope you like my look, and get your vote on! All you’ve got to do is click on the Tory Burch Tab and become a fan of their page to vote!
Here’s my styled look – note: we weren’t really outside, on the side of a mountain
And, here’s more looks from Tory’s resort collection!
Ever the revolutionary, Prada is making “first-ever” strides in fashion once again. Just in time for Holiday 2010, the fashion house introduces PradaPrivate, a line of customizable sunglasses released exclusively at Sunglass Hut. The sunglasses feature replaceable panels at each temple, so customers can add or remove a variety of numbers, letters, and symbols whenever they want. Available in men’s and women’s, they’re perfect as a unique, personalized holiday gift.
If Jackie O has taught us anything, it’s keep it simple and classic and you can’t go wrong. For Summer 2011, Club Monaco has done just that. They’ve kept their usual palette, the muted neutrals, with pops of rich blue, sea foam, and lemon. The Vice President of Womens Designs and Club Monaco, Caroline Belhumeur, was inspired by some of her recent travels to St. Barths, Morocco, and the Maldives. The understated sequins and patterned blues are reminiscent of underwater scenes, while the trenchcoats layered over knits for both men and women came from Carey Mulligan in “An Education” and old photos of a young Michael Cane.
The vibe here can assertively be described as urban casual-meets-luxury. Feminine Bomber jackets, lightweight full skirts, and lots of airy cotton and silk tend to be paired together. You can dress up sequined shorts for a Saturday night out, or pair them with flats and a slouchy cardigan for a lazy brunch the next day. Simple, sexy, yet sophisticated. Jackie O would approve. And remember: you can now shop Club Monaco online, via Shopbop!
