We don’t know where the year went but before we know it it’s going to be time for New Year’s Eve parties! If you’re tired of seeing the same dresses everywhere and ending up having ten other people in the same dress as you, try looking somewhere more unconventional. I actually found a bunch of cute prom dresses from David’s Bridal that would be amazing for NYE. Look below for some great styles to bring in the New Year without looking like a disco ball!

This one is my absolute favorite. It’s covered in sequins, but because it’s black, it’s not over the top. Definitely a great addition to any little black dress collection!

This dress is a great flirty and fun look, with just the right amount of sparkle.
The empire waist is great for any body type and you can show off those legs you’ve been forced to hide all winter!

I love this plum color and even though it’s form-fitting, ruching is always figure flattering.
I also love one-shoulder dresses and the beaded strap is also a beautiful touch.
What looks are you going for this New Year’s Eve?

Treat yourself to luxury in a tube via the sleek yet elegant Rouge G de Guerlain limited edition Pink Collection lipstick. The moisturizing, very sheer formula is available in four pink hues: 72 Rose Innocent, 73 Rose Ensoleillè, 74 Rose Piquant, and 75 Rose Barbare. With some shine yet not quite glossy, the Rouge G 72 Rose Innocent tested as a perfect bump up from a natural lip tone, with a formula consisting of ruby powder for color and shine, hyaluronic acid and Tiger Grass for plumping properties, Gugil resin for filling, and wild mango butter for hydration. Plus, if you’ve never seen it before, the casing is just an incredible work of art, with a compact that automatically opens, once the lid is removed.
The Rouge G de Guerlain limited edition Pink Collection lipsticks will be available starting in January for $48 at Guerlain counters and specialty beauty merchants such as Sephora; start the New Year’s off right by treating yourself to something decadent, yet practical.

Back in April we wrote about the launch of New Balance’s first custom athletic shoe, the custom US574, and now even more options are available via women’s sizing, more color selections, and are made domestically, in New Balance’s factory in Norridgewock, Maine. Your custom US574s will be finished and shipped to you within 4-8 business days; record speed for a tailored, individually made and well-crafted pair of shoes! Additionally, New Balance strives to source materials from domestic suppliers, and 25% of all New Balance shoes sold in North America are made in the US.

Create your own at NewBalance.com (for $114.95) or view the custom pre-selected colorway options here (and picture above). I was able to create my own US574s courtesy of New Balance, and even though the possibilites are endless, I was in need of a a black pair of sneakers. Unable to completely suppress my craving for bright color, I created a mainly black design with some grey “castlerock” and neon green/yellow “limeade” accents.

Plus, it was pretty cool to have custom embroidery on the heels; you get up to eight letters, numerals, or characters per heel.

You can also save your designs and come back to them to complete later, and once finished, share with new design your social network as well!

At the event, I also saw the New Balance Tall Tales collection derived from the American Tall Tales of Johnny Appleseed and John Henry (picture is the John Henry colorway of grey and blue suede and mesh).
