NARS, the french cosmetics brand, is a mainstay in the beauty world and is a staple for celebrities and real women alike. Jennifer Lopez revealed she was a huge fan of their famous Body Glow product and it seemed like the bronze body make up flew off the shelves. Now Francois Nars, the founder of the brand, has created a 10-piece collection for the NARSSkin line, featuring moisturizers, serums, toners, cleansers, and more..
Not only does Francois Nars have a passion for what women wear to enhance their beauty, he understands the value of taking care of your most important asset first, the skin. The collection has both anti-aging and illuminating properties that help your face glow and look its best even without makeup. All products will be available at Saks Fifth Avenue stores on August 1st and everywhere else starting August 15th.

My super sweet friend Jessica picked up this amazing print dress for me, which fits like a glove, during her travels through Europe this summer, and what made it complete was this pair of simple, chic, and flat Unlisted by Kenneth Cole Pop Art Sandals (courtesy of Kenneth Cole). This metallic shade perfectly compliments without distracting from the stunning print, and makes the dress, which features a softened puff peplum shape, work for day.
What’s your favorite dress and sandal combo?

Athleta‘s holiday 2012 preview, hosted at the aptly-themed Aspen Social Club in Midtown Manhattan left me yearning for the slopes in order to take advantage of all of the thoughtful design detailing that the brand has put into its latest line. There were some great new lifestyle and yoga/gym offerings to be had (check out the sweet vest above –that fur collar is removable), like sparkly tanks, new colorways and extra ruching, but for certain some of the most standout pieces for holiday 2102 came from the section geared toward cold weather exposure.

Ski pants were so stylish that they actually resembled my favorite pair of Club Monaco dress pants, and besides their sleek aesthetic and lightweight body that makes them apres-ski worthy, they also have a cool little tag in the back (see above) to hook your lift pass through. This season also has some fantastic headwear (picture at bottom) that allow for a ponytail to slip through and also offer antimicrobial properties. Last, the brand has a WATER PROOF (not water resistant) jacket that is a full on winterized coat so that it is ultra warm AND ultra dry, and a handy little device on the right sleeve of their jacket so that if you by chance get buried under by an avalanche. You can be found!! Genius? Yep! Check Athleta around November to shop these new stylish and highly functional athletic items, designed by women, for women.
