Jockey has been a staple for comfortable and basic intimates and shapewear for decades, but now the brand is getting a more glamorous edge. Super Stylist Rachel Zoe has teamed up with Jockey as a curator of some of the “major must-haves” of the collection. The pieces will hit stores starting in October, 2012. The partnership is a marriage between the classic and comfortable Jockey pieces mixed with Zoe’s edge and fashionable expertise. In the era of Spanx and hidden paddings underneath clothing, what’s happening underneath a garment is just as important as the garment itself. Zoe says of the alliance: “Style starts from within, and having the right foundation is critical to the ultimate success of your outfit. I love marrying comfort with style, and this new collection by Jockey does just that.” The line is amazingly priced too, with pieces ranging from $10.50-$27.
Will you try some of these items?

I recently went to NIVEA‘s first ever “Kiss of Style” Cap Contest at the Bryant Park Hotel, a project for consumers to bring out their inner designer and help NIVEA design a new package design. The skin care brand teamed up with womenswear designer Charlotte Ronson (aka one of the coolest chicks on the planet), who designed her own “Kiss of Moisture” cap (pictured above). To get started, all you have to do is log on to facebook.com/USA to start customizing. Ronson and a panel of 10 other judges will select the top 10 design finalists.

The contest is open NOW, so get designing! The deadline submission is August 22nd and the winner will be announced September 5th. The winning design will be available wherever NIVEA products are sold. The event also featured a contest where guests could spin the wheel and if it landed on a certain word they could win a Charlotte Ronson Fall 2012 outfit not even available in stores yet. Guess what? yours truly won a top from her collection! Nice!

From our friends at thefind.com:
Although it’s almost time to hang up our summery hats and retire all our sunny-weather wardrobe staples until next year (say it ain’t so!), one last summer super-fad has managed to squeeze in before we shift our focus to fall goodies. Slashers – or in other words, super-distressed, slashed jean shorts – show off the extremest of denim cut-offs as they’ve faded, evolved, and gotten even more creative during the course of the season. Whether tie-dyed, dip-dyed, high-waisted, studded, daringly short, or just plain slashed to death, slashers are bringing out the DIY diva in all of us. Of course, if you’re not the crafty type (even when the trend begs for purposeful imperfections!), plenty of our favorite brands have you covered with their own fully distressed masterpieces that are ready to be worn without any further artistic effort on your part! Pair with a flirty blouse or cozy sweater for the perfect casually “undone” look, or use them to top off your bikini bottoms during your last beach days of the summer!
