Just when I think I’ve exhausted all the possible excuses to stock up on more booties and decide I should probably cool it on my shoe addiction, a new trend emerges that has me convinced I need another pair (or several). Western-inspired, wedge, studded combat styles, and more – booties serve as an easy fall footwear go-to, since they can so easily transition and be dressed up or down, from day to night, and from work to play! If you aren’t familiar with the brand CC Corso Como, you will delight to know that the brand provides some of the chicest styles around, but can boast one extra element: comfort. The ultra-padded insole is hard to miss, as it offers an incredibly cushy soft leather lining and flexible sole – a much needed alternative in the market of stylish footwear for women. Pictured above are our favorite styles for Spring/Summer 2013 from the brand, in addition to some interim styles that will roll out in between. I’m really loving the kitten toe and cut out wedge options — I think these shapes are going to be HUGE, come spring!
Ballasox, the rollable, flexible flat, come in a traditional ballet flat silhouette, but also have some great details like bows and cap toes, along with some flip flop and sandal options for 2013. Choose from a bunch of fresh prints and colors, and keep a pair anywhere you may find the need for comfort and style in a jiffy (mine are in my office desk drawer).
