Have you ever starred and stared into the depths of a closet or part of a room, and felt overwhelmed and frustrated, stumped on how to create a noticeable improvement? Welcome to my world, although I’m sure all of us have been there at one point or another in our lives. I’ve also had the “that’s cool, but I have no idea what to do with it” reaction to objects for the home that I’ve come across, needed some guidance, and a second opinion.

Luckily, this past week, I was able to meet event planner and lifestyle expert extraordinaire, Mindy Weiss, who transformed an indoor/outdoor penthouse at NYC’s Giraffe Hotel into a warm, inviting space. As we walked through the space, I snapped photos  and have some of the great tips listed below, so that you can apply them to your abode immediately. All of the items shown were purchased for a GREAT price at HomeGoods (Mindy shared that she gathered the pieces from four different locations). The Styleliner Launches Its Own Handbags!

Ready to hear about the coolest shop on wheels, ever? The Styleliner, which now has trucks on both the east and west coast, is a gorgeously built-out mobile unit that showcases rare and limited edition artisan pieces from around the globe. The unique setting of the shop is certainly a draw, as it parks at various locations for shoppers to climb on-board and have a one-of-a-kind experience while picking up a few unusual, highly stylish goodies along the way.

The latest exciting news is that the Styleliner (which has been around since 2009)  now has its own line of handbags, staying true to its aesthetic of well-crafted unconventional goods, featuring details such as grommets, braiding, whipstitch, embroidery, tassels, and high quality leather & exotic skins. See above for my favorite bag from its new collection (the white crocodile printed leaather bag), which you can also peruse (and shop) online.  With bags, jewelry, footwear, and other accessories such as ornately woven scarves, I’m pretty confident that they’ll be at least several items leaving the Styleliner with you.
