How to Keep Holiday Stress from Ruining Your Skin

Sisley Paris black rose cream mask

Honestly, I feel like a major blob. I made a ton of cookies, ate a million cookies, indulged in sweet, festive, alcoholic beverages, and the biggest workout I got in the past week was feverishly wrapping presents before I had to leave for the in-laws. Ba-humbug!

It was a great 2014 holiday nonetheless, however I’m so glad to have Laura of LollieShopping’s tips that she procured from skincare expert Shawn Mcloughlin, Skincare Trainer at SISLEY PARIS, on products that will help maintain your skin’s glorious nature because let’s face it: diet, exercise, and lifestyle effect our skin, and through travel into the mix, and oh boy, we’re in trouble!

Still Have Holiday Shopping Left to Do? Don’t Panic-I’ve Got Tips to Help You!

T.J.Maxx gift giving[All items pictured are from T.J.Maxx, HomeGoods, and Marshalls]

Last night I realized that somehow I forgot to buy gifts for three people on my list, plus I still needed an additional two hostess gifts- oops! We’ve all been there before, and let’s face it — it’s a challenge to be extremely thoughtful, considerate, and discover THE perfect gift for everyone on your list.

Through my connection with a few of my favorite gift resources for the holidays, T.J.Maxx, HomeGoods, and Marshalls, I was able to get some extra helpful tips from gifting expert, Julie Kenney to stretch your dollar and condense the time spent on gifts.  See below for her advice, and happy holidays!

  •  Be observant when you visit friends and family. What style or color is their decor? Be mindful of others’ taste so you can give them a gift that meshes with their current collection. And, check out their social media pages for additional ideas and favorites.
  • Split up items that have multiple pieces to create multiple gifts. For example, a set of three crystal candleholders and a set of gourmet cookware – just pair the pieces together and you could give a festive gift to three people while only really buying two items.
  • Find a gift such as a blanket, tote or luggage that can be monogrammed for that special, personalized touch. I turn to T.J.Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods for quality pieces like cashmere throws, Italian leather duffels, designer luggage or top name barware at such great value that you can add that extra touch without going over your budget.
