I can definitely say that I am fed up with the super cold weather. Forever 21 Pick of the Day: Belted Tiered Dress
Dresses make figuring out what to wear in the morning so much easier; especially if you’re someone like me who is always running late! I came acoss this fabulous little number, the Belted Tiered Dress, for $42 that is the perfect blend of casual, put-together chic with its knit top, elastic waist, and tiered, feather-like skirt. The black version will definitely be more appropriate for a variety of occasions, but I can’t resist the grey and purple color combination, with perhaps some thick tights underneath.

Which Shoe Costs More?
Last week, a lot of readers really liked the “Which Shoe Costs More” post, so I decided to make it more of a regular thing. This week, I found two different styles of shoes that were quite identical, and unfortunately for, I got the more expensive version of Shoe A versus Shoe B (well, actually my Mom got them for me; sorry Mom!). Can you guess which one cost more? I blacked out the labels so that you could make more of a pure guess. For Shoe A versus Shoe B, there is a $38 original price difference, and for Shoe C versus Shoe D, a $39 original price difference. Hint: All four shoes are actually from the same designer, however the major difference is the less expensive shows are from a “diffusion” line. Good luck guessing, and the answers will be revealed in an updated post on Weds!

Runway Look of the Day: Jason Wu

Since Jason Wu has been making headlines as of late for Michelle Obama wearing own of his dresses to the Inaugural Ball, I thought it was apropos to feature one of the most distinctive looks from his Spring/Summer 2009 collection. The play on sheer sheer sheer, and how it is treated so delicately without being revealing makes this dress truly a standout item. The soft green hue isn’t quite an emerald shade nor a spring green, hence this dress can both be worn in the winter and the spring seasons. The skirt’s layered aesthetic gives a fullness that creates shape, without adding weight to the body. I think The First Lady would certainly approve of this dress selection, although pairing it with more sensible shoes may be in order.
