The Ultimate Desert Oasis: Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe

I think that it’s only fair to admit that after last weekend, my expectations of a relaxing, resort getaway are forever change. For starters, I have a newfound appreciation of being near, but not in the center of, the action. My stay at Four Seasons Rancho Encantado Santa Fe, located about 10 minutes from the heart of Santa Fe, New Mexico, left me reveling in its breathtaking beauty, nestled among the desert flora and fauna, with unobstructed views for miles, while its services and accommodations were the epitome of true hospitality and relaxation.

As this marked my first visit to a Four Seasons site, I was most eager to try the renowned cuisine and head to the spa’s treatment rooms, which kicked off my stay at the resort even before I checked in. The treatment rooms were inspired by Pueblo Indian kiva rooms, which felt intimate and luxurious at once. My massage was one of the best I’ve ever had, while the relaxing continued afterward via the private courtyard with a hot tub and sauna.

My best friend Jeff, who was traveling with me, didn’t receive a treatment, but as a guest, was still able to indulge in the spa’s courtyard facilities. After a quick shower, we reconvened in the gorgeous dining space of Terra Restaurant for a five-course dinner and wine pairing experience, selected by the James Beard Award nominee for “Best Chef: Southwest,” Chef Andrew Cooper. The food was a seamless blend of traditional American and local flavors, starting off with a chive, chile, and corn soup, followed by salad, scallops, salmon, lamb chops, and a sumptuous array of miniature desserts. I had assumed the food to be good, and the wine excellent, but this was on another level of deliciousness.

Fashion Week is Here! Spring 2016 Coverage with Sorrelli

Time flies, especially in the world of fashion, at a record pace, and once again, fashion week is upon us! From September 10th-17th, the Spring 2016 collections will be shown here in New York City, and follow along for trend reports and news from the events, along with the looks worn by moi, your Fashion Pulse Daily dedicated blogger, and the team from Sorrelli. Wild, Wonderful New Mexico

New Mexico was always one of those far off places that I always wanted to visit, but never seemed to add it into my travel plans. What a mistake! I regret that I only traveled there at this juncture in my life, and not sooner. The food was tasty, the landscape breathtaking, the culture unique, the people genuine and friendly, and the colors more vibrant than I ever imagined. My best friend Jeff and I traveled from Alburquerque to Santa Fe and back, staying at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado in Santa Fe,while embarking upon hiking, tram rides, museums, and The Turquoise Trail along the way.

Of course, some shopping was involved, and I couldn’t help but pick up some artisan-made souvenirs for myself and my family. One thing that was a bit tricky when figuring out what to pack and wear was the drastic changes in temperature from day to night in the area. It could be as much as a 30 degree difference (we often lit a fire at night), so having warm clothing and something with long sleeves nearby was a necessity. I packed this tunic dress from TerritoryAhead.com by Tasha Polizzi, inspired by Native American textiles, that I figured would be right at home in New Mexico. It was a dream, allowing me to seamlessly transition from day and night, while remaining cool and warm, respectively. From an aesthetic standpoint, I couldn’t help but be affected by the colors, traditional fabrics, and silhouettes of the region, especially having paid a visit to the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, which are sure to stick with me for a long time —  at least until the next time I can squeeze in a trip to New Mexico! Shop Designer Fashion From 30-50% Off at The Society Boutique!

Have you ever imagined what it would be like to unearth designer gems of recent and past collections, before they’ve had a chance to hit the selling floor for a sale? From experience, I can tell you that it’s thrilling, and also an exercise in restraint — there were so many items that I came across that I wanted to save for myself!

I got a behind-the-scenes look at the designer clothing and luxury accessories that will be part of The Society Boutique‘s fall sale, a huge event in which you can find new or gently used items, ranging from apparel and accessories to home décor, from 30-50% off.

The cool thing about the boutique is that it’s a thrift shop situated on New York City’s Upper East Side that raises funds to support The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering patient care, research, and education for the prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer. It’s such an incredibly worthy cause, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to help them promote this fall’s blockbuster sale at Fashion Pulse Daily,  sharing with you some of my top picks that I discovered while shifting through the items that will be available! The arrange of donated goods is truly incredible, and expect designer pieces from all over the world, from brands with incredible heritage and value, such as Hermès, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Diane von Furstenberg, Karl Lagerfeld, Escada, Prada, and more.
