Nowadays we live in a world of simplified DYI; you can self-publish a book, create your own videos, and even customize your footwear or clothing. We all have the potential to become experts on these things, but I still appreciate when all the options are laid before me, and I can make easy decisions to get the exact product that represents me to a T. Speaking of Ts, custom t-shirts is a trend that has been emerging in recent years, with a bevy of sites from Cafe Press to Threadless, and now the latest, in the custom t-shirt biz, Fibers.com. The guys at the site were kind enough to give me a complimentary test run of the tee, and let’s just say that they make it as easy as ordering business cards. You can either upload your own text and images or use one of their templates, which are broken into categories such as ‘I Love Shirts’ ‘Popular Culture’ and ‘Politics’. Although I’ve been designing t-shirts for over five years, I wanted to try out the site as if I didn’t have a lick of design know-how. I found the process to be relatively straightforward, with plenty of font and placement choices for the text, as well as color options. In the future, I’m hoping that they add in more women’s blank tees and organic options.
Do you like my tee? You can make the exact same one if you want to show your Fashion Pulse Daily love!
