Everyone knows that I generally love the Go International designer collaborations with Target. And perhaps it was my fault for holding the McQ collection to a higher standard, but I expected this to be the most avant garde collection Target has had. Instead, the collection is a mix of basics and funkier items, like blue mesh tunics, leather vests, and tiny bikini bottomes. The gem for me was the drapey green and black dress for $69.99; more costly however than Go International items that I’ve purchased in the past (usually no more than $49.99). I do have to say that it was a fabulous event, with a performance by The Duke Spirit, free libations, and a cool warehouse space that made the trek over to the West Side Highway worth it.
