I never thought the above title is something I would ever write, especially when it comes to winters in New York, but it’s true! I don’t even need a hat when I’m wearing the Alpine Attitude™ Down Jacket ($175), compliments of Columbia. I could probably get away with not wearing gloves either, thanks to the built-in
cuff/gauntlet action (see pics below). This jacket is a bit bulkier than the Reach the Peak Down Jacket, and also features Omni-Shield® with a combo of 550 fill-power down and Omni-Heat® thermal reflective technology. This jacket has more of a satiny-sheen to it, with removable faux fur on the hood, a neckwarmer-like fleece, underarm venting (great detail for outdoor sports), and of course the silvery little dots on the interior that reflect heat, as part of the Omni-Heat® signature, which makes it look way cool and futuristic! I’m loving it!
