I’ve had a love affair with canvas sneakers ever since my first pair of Keds, Tretorns and K-Swiss… I honestly can’t recall a summer without a pair laced on my feet! By the looks of them come August, they usually showed the most visible signs of having a fantastic summer, given their tremendous wear and tear.  I’ve put together eight pairs that range from classic laces to slip-ons, in all-over washes of color, vibrant prints, and interesting details with slightly tweaked silhouettes. Of course the classic bleached white canvas sneaker is a no-brainer, but here I’ve bumped it up a notch for a bit of playfulness and whimsy; enjoy!

Jet Set Essentials for the Perfect Summer Getaway

The temperatures on the east coast over the weekend soared into degrees usually designated for the height of the summer, which got me thinking about my next getaway. Some believe that part of the fun is the journey, but I beg to differ; I always dread what may await me at the airport, be it long lines, delays, or even a lack of sufficient outlets to charge my phone. There really Although these items are out of my control, the one thing I can take ownership over is how I look and feel.
