Emilio Pucci
Pucci, known for its bright palette and eye-catching prints, took an edgier turn this fall, as dresses were designed around high slits and solid black was Pucci’s creative director, Peter Dundas’ color of choice. A darker and more youthful collection debuted, as sheer insets and cutouts added an elegant component to sexy ensembles. However the collection would not have been traditional without a few colors, such as wine, cream, and hues of blue, which made an appearance with beautiful, subtle prints on flowing dresses. Additionally, luxe detailing, such as, leather, fur, and frills complemented the collection.

Giorgio Armani
Giorgio Armani took a literal meaning out of the show’s “Easy Chic” inspiration, as loosely tailored menswear in gray and black suits and over-the-knee cropped Bermuda pants paired with fedoras debuted down the runway. Vivid orange and bright fuchsia almost made you forget that this was a fall collection, as the colors were used well to complement the silhouettes and glamorous additions, such as fur jackets and cocktail dresses that had a day-to-night appeal. Armani’s attention to detail and intricate embellishments were a talent in itself, as the ensembles could have doubled as art.

Marni
For fall 2012, Marni successfully channeled retro-chic, understated dressing that may have a quirky detail or two, however, without detracting from the feminine aura. Monochromatic and asymetrical color blocking reigned the looks in a color palette that was simple, yet ultra-fresh. Plus, the heavily-cut bangs and ultra shiny tresses popped nicely on the runway, especially in a very “anti-bang” season.

Jil Sander
Are we really looking at the Jil Sander collection for fall 2012? If you had to do a double take too, it’s with good reason! The romantic side of the brand has started to trickle out, via fluffy, light, champagne pinks, and delicate hand wrought fabrications, but don’t assume that Jil Sander has turned into mushy sentimentality. Some stronger pieces, both in their fabric choices and drama via dark, sharp tailored lines appeared in the collection, epitomizing the slick minimalist expertise that has made Sander a popular name in mainstream fashion.

Missoni
Honestly, how many times can that signature chevron knit be rehashed and reworked? The answer: an infinite amount! Angela Missoni’s juxtaposition of nature and the metropolis played out to its fullest degree, literally a little rough around the edges as fabrics were given a dyed, worn effect. Equipped with fur, leather, and plenty of layers, this collection can definitely be coveted by Missoni lovers who want to rethink the way they wear the house’s best hits.

French twists with ribbons complemented well with the playful color palette of Moschino’s Fall 2012 RTW runway show. Red, cobalt blue, and sunshine yellow jackets with brass and gold hardware were inspired by a feminine military style, while color-block skinny pants and leather jackets paired with over sized cowboy hats in red, cream, and black were inspired by an equestrian theme. Moschino’s signature use of bright colors also included quilted jackets and ruffled party dresses in black, cream, and fuchsia. Beautiful colors, girlie silhouettes and intricate embellishments tied the collection together, as Moschino’s newest collection will give some excitement during the fall weather!
