Beauty Tuesday: 11 Cheek Sticks You’ve Got to Try!
Are you ready to get cheeky in a whole new way? I hope so, because the new cheek stains/blush sticks/highlighters are AWESOME. The applicator puts the fun back in makeup, requiring a combination of using the stick itself and your fingers, while most colors are so versatile and sheer that you can use them on lips and lids too. Talk about a bang for your buck!
Plus, we found them for as little as $6, and as much as $39, which is STILL a deal, considering that you’ll be able to eliminate a few products in the process.
See the slideshow above for some of my favorites, as well as some new ones that I discovered along the way to compiling this post!

Beauty Tuesday: Which of These Is Your Carmex?
I have to give credit when credit’s due, and it was my Dad who let me first use his Carmex when I was a young, impressionable youth, and I recall as early as the sixth grade, having my own little jar (glory be!), tucked safely inside a velcro and a zip closure of my tiny Eddie Bauer bookbag. My Dad only likes “good stuff,” and he definitely was right about Carmex Lip Care; a company doesn’t get to be 77 years old without touting an awesome product, that’s for sure! Carmex can be found in the original classic jar, tubes, smooth sticks, and now in the new ultra smooth sticks in scents and even include SPF for extra protection. All rationale thinking tells me that it can’t be magic, but the formula, which includes camphor, menthol, and petrolatum hit the spot when I feel like going ballistic, ala Napoleon Dynamite when “my lips hurt real bad.” You know that my dad’s favorite is the original formula in a jar, my mom loves cherry in a smooth stick, and my new fave is the lime twist in the ultra smooth stick, so there’s just one question left to ask: which is your favorite?
All Carmex Lip Care products can be found at national food, drug, and mass retailers, with an affordable price range from about $1.50-$2.19.

Beauty Tuesday: New From Dove — Pistachio Cream & Crème Mousse Body Washes
Honestly, I never knew I could feel this way about something pistachio-related. Dove Purely Pampering Pistachio Cream with Magnolia Body Wash and Beauty Bar or Body Wash are so strangely wonderful that I think you’ll become a pistachio cream fiend too! A mix of fruit, floral, and musk, this unusual combination of scents is quite delightful and certainly unisex, while infusing the brand’s signature ¼ moisturizing cream that replenishes skin while cleansing. GO Fresh Cool Moisture, a cucumber and green tea combo scent WAS my favorite, but now, I think it has been bumped!
Also recently introduced by the brand are the Dove Crème Mousse Body Washes with NutriumMoisture, an ultra light, whipped formula (ala mousse) found in a pearlescent crème texture which will make lather lovers rejoice. Available in Sensitive Skin, Deep Moisture, and Gentle Exfoliating options, the mild cleanser includes glycerin and stearic acid to produce the ultimate hydrated, well-treated skin around, and is so effective at doing so that it’s actually being recommended to use as a shaving alternative. You know I love two-fers, so I definitely will have one of these babies in my shower every day! I usually exfoliate then shave, so the gentle exfoliating wash would be the perfect solution.
Which of these new Dove products are you most excited to try?
