Every season, Nuance Salma Hayek grows with more great products spanning a variety of categories and needs, including skincare, haircare, body, cosmetics, anti-aging, and now, even suncare. Spring 2015 sees the arrival of a dozen products exclusive to CVS that carry forward the mantra of natural ingredients coupled with visible results. Some of my favorites include the Oil-Free Sheer Liquid Veil SPF 50 ($9.99), a skin primer that works to impart hydration while it works well on its own or underneath makeup.It provides an extra sheer level of SPF protection to your precious face, and features a Salma-favorite ingredient, Mimosa Tenuiflora Bark Extract, from a tree native to Brazil and southern Mexico, and is an old secret skincare ingredient to fight the signs of aging.

Other skincare products that I’ve been into for the new launch also include the Nourish & Renew Facial Oil ($21.99) and Marigold Oil Cleansing Facial Oil ($9.99), the former featuring immense hydration and conditioning benefits thanks to jojoba oil, calendula and rosemary extracts, and Vitamin E, and the latter including marigold (calendula) oil suitable for all skin types and to reduce inflammation while taking away dirt and makeup in the cleansing process.

For hair, I can’t get enough of the Nuance Salma Hayek Mamey Fruit Texture Enhancing Finishing Spray($12.99), which totally gets it when I want to take a day off from washing my tresses. Mamey Fruit Oil, a great emollient that is kind of a miracle hair ingredient, chock full of vitamins A, B, C, and E, proteins, amino acids, fatty acids, and minerals, while natural clay aborbs hair oils an oat extract comes in to condition and add texture.

Now that you know some of my favorites, what are you most excited to try? The line, at an always affordable price range of about $9.99-$21.99 for spring also has hair masks, shampoo and conditioner, eye cream, cc cream, and a creamy cleanser.

There are people that you meet that radiate warmth, intelligence, and gumption, and Christie Brinkley just happens to be one of those special people.  I remember being drawn to her beauty and charm as a kid of the 1980s, and as luck would have it, got to meet her at the press preview session, introducing her new line, Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare. To sum things up, she was as excited and enthusiastic about the products as I was about meeting her!

Several years and tons of research and testing have gone into the line, which is poised to become a mega-success, canvassing the areas that women want and need to clean, exfoliate, moisturizer, and protect the most.The well-edited lineup of seven products range in price from $21-$69, and feature state-of-the-art technology in multi-tasking products that do everything from exfoliate to super duper moisturize AND protect your skin from the sun.

Natural Hair & Body Products from The Gnarly Whale

After my first trip to Hawaii a few years ago, I became obsessed with the place, along with all things coconut. Eating and drinking young coconut, along with using the oil in cooking, the milk in smoothies,  and body products became a new found obsession, bringing memories of that wonderful land with me everywhere. More importantly however, coconut is just an awesome hair and skincare product, providing great emollient, conditioning, and anti-viral properties, that it’s a no-brainer to include in your beauty routine. I tried a few items from The Gnarly Whale, a minimal ingredient beauty, bath, and body product line that is kind to your body and the earth, featuring recyclable packaging and paper.

The Thai Coconut Scented Coconut Milk Soap ($5.50) is light and effective, airy and effervescent, while the Thai Coconut Beach Waves ($12) makes for a great second day hair style, adding some texture, bounce, and incredible aroma into the mix. If coconut isn’t exactly your thing but you love the concept (vegan, cruelty-free, limited ingredients), try the brand’s natural make up remover, lip balm, hair detangler, body scrub, or similar products featuring different main ingredients, like pumpkin, lemon, peppermint, or cucumber melon.

Glossier Has Two AMAZING Masks for Your Winter-Abused Skin

Detox and/or hydrate your skin with Glossier‘s two latest star products, the Moisturizing Moon Mask to plump, hydrate, and smooth the skin, and the Mega Greens Galaxy Pack, which helps you to get rid of excess oil and impurities ($22 each). For me, hydration is essential, as even my normal dose of moisturizer isn’t cutting it when it has to compete with the wind, ultra-low, frigid temps, and indoor heating blasting on me. Using natural emollients and brighteners (such as licorice root and lemon extract), the masks are gentle and appropriate for all skin types, even sensitive ones like mine. Plus, the packaging is super slick, and looks great resting by its lonesome on the corner of my bathroom sink.

If you aren’t familiar with Glossier, its the brainchild of Emily Weiss, beauty blogger and founder of the wildly successful site  Into The Gloss.  The concept behind the brand is to represent the epitome of what’s needed and used, effective and of high quality, starting with the most important foundation of them all — skincare.

The brand launched with four core products (otherwise known as Glossier Phase 1 Set products, available in three skin tones):  soothing face mist, priming moisturizer, balm dotcom, and perfecting skin tint. I’m obsessed with them all, but have to relay that the lip balm (balm dotcom; $12) just feels so wonderfully soothing and indulgent in this weather, great for skin that needs a little soothing besides your lips, which can be around your nails and cuticles, elbows, etc.  I hope that your skin gets the nutrients that it needs and you feel as great as it looks!
