Don’t Let Summer End Without Trying This: Jane Iredale’s Lip Drink Lip Balm with SPF 15

I love, love love Jane Iredale, and use something from the brand, be it usually eyeshadow or eye primer, every single day. The Lip Drink Lip Balm ($17, JaneIredale.com) in Sheer has been in steady rotation for the past few years, and I was thrilled when shades were added to the lineup.

The brand now welcomes its latest color, Tease (pictured above), a shimmery plum brown which is a nice addition to the collection and provides a bit of spice to your late summer look. As always, it features a lemon flavor and includes green tea extract, carrot seed and avocado oils, Vitamins E and C, and a bit of SPF! Also of note from the brand is the new TripleLuxe Long Lasting Naturally Moist Lipsticks, 15 creamy to matte shades that feature Moringa oil and a Tahitian vanilla and blackberry flavor and fragrance.

Don’t Let Summer End Without Trying This: The Goody QuikStyle Paddle Hair Brush

For me, summer is both amazing and overwhelming at the same time; there’s just so much to cram in during so little time! Before the first gusts of crisp fall air are upon us, be sure to check out a few of these late summer items that I will be sharing in the coming weeks that, simply put, have been giving me LIFE lately!

As a new mom, it’s hard to give any part of me the TLC it deserves, and sadly that includes haircare. The rule of thumb these days are if it’s going to be done, it’s GOTTA BE FAST! This vented brush helps me move through my blow drying much faster than I had ever imagined; it includes microfiber bristles to absorb water while the nylon bristles brush out the nattiness that occurs when I skip the conditioner. I had this brush years ago and loved it, and the new and improved version includes antimicrobial technology to aid the brush in staying clean and an ergonomic handle for better grip. Now if only there was a product that styled my hair for me while I brushed my teeth…

According to my mom I was “born to shop,” so of course it’s only natural that I wait with baited breathe every year for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to roll around! What makes this sale so extraordinary is not only the fact that it comes from one of the best departments stores out there, but also because it defies the meaning of  the word ‘sale,’ which we normally equate to  items that have been sitting in the store for a while and need to be moved off of the selling floor.  Nordstrom is different in that it features brand-new arrivals from popular brands that are for a limited time, marked down, as well as featuring items created specifically for the big sale event.

Have you ever wondered how best to sync up your nail look with your finger baubles? If you’ve been curious about how best to style these two fashion statements, then you’re in for a treat!   Rita Remark for essie, who just did the nails for Alexander Wang’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection show, shares her tips and tricks for navigating skin tone, nail color and jewels, and in fact, she makes it seem quite effortless! Read on for the interview with Rita, below:

Fashion Pulse Daily: Can you share a bit about the thought process behind the nail and ring look by Alexander Wang?

Rita Remark: His collection was heavily inspired by Americana. Images of 80’s hair bands, NFL tailgate parties, wrestlemania and dirt bike racing were littered across his mood boards. The custom Alexander Wang championship rings were a key feature in the runway look, so though I would have loved to create a star spangled manicure, it was important to keep the nails muted. In the end, Alex and I chose a bright opaque nude, essie’s Topless & Barefoot, and finished it with essie Matte About You Topcoat so that the finished look would feel raw, not dainty.
