Bite You Later: True Blood Collaborates with Tarte for a New Make-up Line

Vampires, telepaths, and shapeshifters, oh my! While in Washington D.C. this weekend, my brother’s girlfriend introduced me to HBO’s television drama series, True Blood. I never got into the fad of vampires, but after a quick glimpse into a new dramatic addiction, I decided I needed to put the first season on my to-watch list.
A bigger addiction for me is makeup and True Blood is collaborating with Tarte for a new limited edition cosmetic collection dedicated to the success of the show. Tarte™ for True Blood™ has created a color palette and other beauty products developed by Emmy award-winning makeup artist and True Blood makeup department head, Brigette Myre-Ellis. The product line will be available in July, in order to coincide with the show’s fourth season, and will be carried at the HBO shop in New York City, HBO’s online store, and Sephora.
The collection includes three products:
1. tarte™ for True Blood™ limited-edition collector’s palette ($52) includes 17 matte and shimmer eyeshadows, aqua-gel eyeliner, mascara, and a natural eye primer.
2. tarte™ for True Blood™ limited-edition natural cheek stain in shimmering red ($30)
3. tarte™ for True Blood™ limited-edition LipSurgence™ natural lip tint in shimmering red ($24)

The Body Shop Launches Body Butter Duos
I’m all about multi-functioning products; save on space, save on money, and save on time! The Body Shop Body Butter Duos, currently at the introductory price of $15 (will retail for $18) offers a two for one via a twin pot with one side meant to moisturize dry skin like elbows and knees, with the other functioning for normal skin. Body Butter Duo scents are at four for now: Vanilla, Macadamia, Acai and Sweet Pea, and the texture of each side is immediately evident; the thicker the butter, the tougher the skin! I tested out the duo in Vanilla, rubbing in the normal skin side to my hands and working into my cuticles, while the dry skin butter was reserved for my ashy legs that had recently gotten scorched from a 4th of July beach day.
