Inspired by the looks from the runway, Maybelline has created several FABULOUS limited edition nail options for the month of November. We are most excitecd about the Color Show Fashion Prints Nail Stickers, available in eight patterns including Fiece N Fuchsia, Midnight Lace, Wild Reptile, Metal Prisms, Cheetah Chic Sapphire Jewels, Divine Crocodile, and Resort Couture. If you’ve never used nail stickers before — it is so fast and easy – I’ve done them at my desk minutes before an event, and they work like a charm.
Here’s Maybelline’s application steps: 1.Select a sticker that best fits each nail. 2. Lay the sticker over the bare nail and apply a little pressure over the entire surface of the nail using the cuticle stick 3. Fold the spare top of sticker over nail tip and file away the extra length of sticker in a downward motion.
The second bit of excitement is the Sequins by Color Show Nail Lacquer, which is comprised of five gorgeous, dazzling shades of Ruby Rhinestones, Lavender Sparks, Silver Gleam, Gold’s Night Out, Sea-Quins, Rose Bling, Sapphire Masquerade and Cocktail Dress. Again, just for a limited time, this mini collection will look great layered over a neon, a neutral, or by themselves or your nails.
[I tried out the Cheetah Chic stickers and two Sequins shades courtesy of Maybelline this week!]
Retail prices are $7.99 for the Fashion Prints Nail Stickers and $3.99 for Sequins at mass market retailers . Remember, you ca only snag these stylish nail options during the month of November!

With the holidays JUST around the corner, AGAIN (can you believe it?!) most of us will have to pack our belongings and head for the highway or skyway to visit our loved ones during the busiest travel times of the year. Yikes. I normally don’t even go home for Thanksgiving so that I can spare my energy and patience for the traffic juggernaut which inevitably come on the weekend before Christmas this year. BUT, since travel is a must, how about a kit for him, and one for her, that will make moving around for the holiday much simpler?
Let’s start with For Him: The Art of Shaving’s The 4 Elements of the Perfect Shave new Mid-Size Kit brings all that he needs for grooming (Pre-Shave Oil (1oz), Shaving Cream (1.5oz), Genuine Badger Hair Shaving Brush, and After-Shave Balm (1oz)) in a perfectly-sized kit that works for carry-on bags or can easily and safely be stashed in a duffle and tossed into the car. Available in the brand’s classic scents of Sandalwood, Unscented, Lavender, and Lemon, this also makes a great gift for the men in your life or a nice, surprise, stocking suffer (retail for $60).
For Her: The Caboodles of our youth gets a professional upgrade, which takes shape in the form of the Caboodles Artiste ($79.99, Ulta). Toss in your most necessary hair products, styling tools, makeup, nail polishes, and even jewelry to easily transport, and set up your items once you reach your destination. The Artiste easily opens up and cascades out to stylishly and clearly display all that you’ve got, so that you can quickly get ready and squeeze in some quality family time, before you must hit the road and head back.

Waterpik Complete Care, $99.99, is a Waterpik Water Flosser + Sonic Toothbrush which will drastically improve your gum health and plaque removal in comparison to a manual toothbrush and regular floss. I tested the water flosser this week, running it on a low setting over and around each tooth for about three seconds each, and could control the pressure with 10 setting options and five flosser tips to chose from. Taking better care of your teeth and gums, which can really just mean adding an extra minute or two of care each day into your routine seems like a no-brainer. As I learned at the Waterpik event, cleaner teeth not only mean healthier teeth, but whiter ones too — stains have less to cling to when your teeth are kept at an optimum state, thanks to the power of a sonic, electronic toothbrush and water flosser.

Founded by practicing dermatologist Gary Goldfaden, M.D., Goldfaden MD products combine the high quality of dermatological skincare with natural ingredients to create an innovative, and effective line that can treat a variety of skin problems, ranging from a unbalanced or dull complexion to damaged skin, aging, deep lines, dryness, and more. Two of my favorites, that I tested from the line include the Pure Start Gentle Detoxifying Facial Cleanser (removes dead skin cells, makeup, helps retain moisture and boost skin firmness, $32), and the Bright Eyes Dark Circle Radiance Concentrate (reduces dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines, $48) with soy peptides, rice bran extract, and Vitamin K.

Awe man…it’s that time of year when hats and gloves are permanently on my person- but at least I can make extra space in my handbag for them by removing my bottle of lotion. What, say you? How does this make any sense? The gloves pictured above, the Homespun Cozee by Grandoe ($35), part of the Homespun Collection, have an aloe treated snowfleece lining to soften your hands while they are being worn. Pretty cool, right? I sometimes use soft gloves and socks to lock in moisture overnight while I sleep, but getting a little extra treatment while I’m out and about this winter sounds even better to me! Available in four different patterns in size small-XL, these knit gloves are sure to be a stocking stuffer hit this season.
