Norma Kamali for Wal-Mart: Summer Collection 2010
I’ve been a long-time admirer of Norma Kamali; she is one of my most favorite designers as she is extremely innovative, creative, totally ahead of her time, and modest — a rare trait found in designers these days! I’ve been buying pieces of her Wal-Mart collection since its inception about a year and a half ago, and must say that I’m impressed with the cuts and quality — with pretty much everything under $20! My most recent acquisition was the One-Shoulder Maillot Swimsuit for $20 (pictured above)- and fits me like a dream (I swear – I didn’t even try it on in the store!)
My other favorite pics from the new collection:
Shirred Column Print Jersey Dress, $20
Organic Cotton Knit Capri Jumpsuit, $15
Shirred Column Print Jersey Dress, $20
Tie-Dye Leggings, $10

Oh Snap! Lindsay Phillips’ Versatile Footwear Collection

[My lovely, extra-pale legs with three variations of the Lindsay Phillips Snap Shoes]
It really all started with a flip flop in high school. Using velcro, Lindsay Phillips created an interchangeable design that gave the wearer a variety of options with just one shoe. The SwitchFlop concept was a great success, which later led to the options available today called Snap Shoes.

Choose a style (like the wedges above) and adorn them with a variety of different snap -on designs. priced at about $12 for the pieces. I was given the wedges to test out, which proved to be quite comfortable, let alone versatile since I was able to switch up my look in an instant. These shoes are a great idea for the gal on the go, or to pack along in your suitcase. Styles range from flip-flops to wedges to flats, so there’s definitely some choice involved if you need something more appropriate for the office, or solely the beach!

From StyleBakery.com: The Ultimate Spring Shopping List from our Favorite Bloggers
StyleBakery was kind enough to ask me to be a part of their shopping list again, and here’s what I picked:
United Nude Lo Res Pump, $260 at unitednude.com
“I’ve been obsessed as of late with the architectural wonders that are Rem Koolhaas’ shoe line, United Nude. They’ve been challenging to purchase in the U.S. at a brick and mortar store, but come May, the brand is opening a flagship store in NYC. I’m going to hold off from buying any of-the-moment spring and summer sandals so that I can save for these babies!”
