Glamour November Magazine

Oh, “Glamour.” How you complete me. November’s issue features plus-size models and a written promise to feature more full-figure models, diversity and women with natural features (which some in fashion may view as flaws), such as nose bumps, freckles and gap-tooth smiles, on the pages of future issues. In addition, “Glamour” also resolves to support designers who create stylish pieces for sizes 14 and above. Kudos to “Glamour.”

November’s “Glamour” cover showcases the ever-gorgeous Scarlett Johanson (one of my favorite actresses) looking divine as a red-head and sporting the cutest colorful heart t-shirt. Hers is a Lanvin and costs $733, and on page 38, “Glamour” offers some awesome alternatives. I couldn’t help but join in the fun. Below are my Scar Jo-inspired tees, including two recommended by “Glamour.” Enjoy.

Choo Choo Save Some Cha-ching! Jimmy Choo Does H&M

In my wildest dreams I would never have imagined this unlikely collaboration, but am so glad that someone made it a reality! Encompassing both mens and womens apparel and footwear, the Jimmy Choo for H&M line debuts November 14th and includes some pieces I’d definitely buy for myself, and the boyfriend. I can’t wait to see them in person to examine the quality, but for now, they are definitely some great eye candy!

Handbag of the Month

A little known secret: I have a thing for owls. I don’t know what it is. I just love owls. It’s not to the point where I know anything about them. I just like looking at them. I think it’s their face. Owls give great face.

So it should come as no surprise that September’s Handbag of the Month is Kate Spade’s Sherwood Ida handbag. Okay, so maybe it’s a bit off-beat to wear an owl on your arm. But fashion can’t be completely serious. I have a great sense of humor, and I like to use fashion to express it. This owl handbag is campy, light-hearted and fun. Only a brave woman with the ability to laugh and enjoy life could pull this off. That’s what I love about designer Kate Spade. While most of her bags are very clean and classy, she always has a few that have a cheeky appeal to them. And this boho-chic, pieced suede handbag named for the mythical forest of Robin Hood is no exception.
