You might not have ever heard of Tony Duquette, but I can almost guarantee that you’ve seen his work, or at least iterations and imitations of it by other designers for decades! Duquette, who created baubles for celebrities and royalty alike was a distinctive, progressive designer who paired unconventional shapes, materials, and designs into a hodgepodge of elegance. Although Duquette passed away in 1999, his studio has teamed up with Coach for a limited-edition collection of jewelry for the masses. A first for both Coach and the studio, expect lovely broaches, rings, bracelets, a keychain, necklaces, and even a decorative bag at price points that range from $58 to about $700. It’s T.J. Maxx and Marshalls! Be it a cocktail affair, an Oscar’s party, a wedding, an anniversary party – you name it — T.J. Maxx and Marshalls will surprise and amaze you. For me, my latest quest has been for several white dresses to wear to my upcoming nuptial-related celebrations. Not the wedding dress per se, but rather the bridal shower dress, rehearsal dinner dress, “magistrate/making it legal” dress, and “brunch the day after dress.” Phew- that’s a lot of dresses, and looking for a great deal is DEFINITELY at the top of my priority list.
