French twists with ribbons complemented well with the playful color palette of Moschino’s Fall 2012 RTW runway show. Red, cobalt blue, and sunshine yellow jackets with brass and gold hardware were inspired by a feminine military style, while color-block skinny pants and leather jackets paired with over sized cowboy hats in red, cream, and black were inspired by an equestrian theme. Moschino’s signature use of bright colors also included quilted jackets and ruffled party dresses in black, cream, and fuchsia. Beautiful colors, girlie silhouettes and intricate embellishments tied the collection together, as Moschino’s newest collection will give some excitement during the fall weather!

Although I seldom cover menswear and even less frequently doll out styling “rules,” I thought this article is a must! Written by Guy Trebay of The New York Times, titled “How to Wear a Tux” demystifies the anxiety questions surrounding length, lapels, shoes, the bowtie, and more. Through some stellar examples of stars that “get it” (Jake Gyllenhaal, George Clooney), and those who tanked (Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp), you should be able to direct your man toward the proper fit for the next black-tie affair (and of course, tell him to read the article-in its entirety).
