I love options, and I also like feeling like I’m my own personal beauty dispensary store. With great products at an amazing value, e.l.f. (eyes, lips, face) manages to leave with the feeling of wanting not, which is one that I definitely relish. This holiday season, e.l.f. offers 22 different kits across the categories of eyes, lips, face and tools/nails, ranging from just $5-$20. Not only do they make a great stocking stuffer, but also…a wonderful gift to yourself. Don’t be shy; spread the holiday cheer to yourself as well! See the slideshow above for my top picks across a variety of categories (the Blended Beauty kit is a favorite!). You’ll find these items early to mid-November at Target, Walmart, and online at ElfCosmetics.com.

Well folks, the warm months here on the east coast are about in the bag. But aren’t you just hoping for an Indian Summer? I know I sure am; I love the coziness of a soft, new sweater for fall, accompanied with a pair of new suede boots and jeans, but summer… I just can’t quite you. Fashion Pulse Hubby and I made a promise to each other at the beginning of the season, that we would make our way to the beach this summer no less than six times.
Being as little as 45 minutes from the shore (traffic permitting), it was do-able; we just had to 1)actually be around in NYC on the weekend and 2)be able to push weekly tasks and chores aside to enjoy a few hours in the sunshine. Guess what? We did it! And I have the freckles to prove it (well, not too many; I try to stay as protected as possible from the sun).
I took up SUP and SUP yoga this summer (shout out to A-Team Paddleboarding!), so some beach days involved a bit of a work out first. On other days we’d head to the ocean and then go out immediately afterwards, so having minimal, but versatile garments was key. My most important elements to make the transition to evening involve a great coverup dress, summery wedges, small bag, and a stylish yet functional hat. I picked up this terry cloth dress at the beginning of the season, and loved it more and more, with each wear. Isn’t that great when it happens?

Can you believe New York Fashion Week, Spring 2017 Collections begins next week? I hardly can believe it myself, and I’ve been prepping for it over the past few weeks! Follow along on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Snapchat (handle is @fashionpulse), and stop by FashionPulseDaily.com for show and trend reports along the way. Until then, here are a few gems that I’ve wanted to share before the long weekend; have a great Labor Day, everybody!

Maybe it’s due in part to being obsessed with Japanese culture, but the latest collection from essie, inspired by Tokyo, is a doozy! The color palette of six hues, if you ask me, can best be explained as the new, modern neutrals; a blue, a blush, and some modern orange and berry shades that will look absolutely stunning on fingers and toes alike (actually, I just painted udon know me on my toes). This fall launch of six fabulous shades is available now at essie.com, as well as fine salons and beauty destinations nationwide for $9 each.

[Walking into the EDGE Restaurant & Bar from the Four Seasons Denver lobby]
Our ideas of what makes a “good trip” can wildly differ, but these aspects are certainly universal: amazing food, incredible views, a comfy bed, and convenience. For my maiden voyage to Colorado, I wanted to embrace the mountains and the city culture alike, while experiencing the very best of both worlds and not compromising any of the aforementioned items. It didn’t get much better than hiking around Red Rocks and Garden of the Gods, but spending time biking around Denver while taking a pause to squeeze in some shopping and a whirlpool soak rounded out the visit to the mile-high city.
