At The Frye Company‘s Fall 2012 preview, I took in the latest styles, colors, prints, and materials used to update and compliment the brand’s newer and classic styles. A big fan of the Frye Dorado style, I was happy to see it in new iterations, alongside many other dressy and casual options, with some amazing bags in the mix! Stay tuned for some fleece and rabbit-lined boots, Frye’s answer to the UGG via a lightweight, comfy shearling boot, studded flats and sneakers, and much much more! You can always shop Frye online, or at your favorite retailer, and stay tuned as they plan to open more stores in the next year.

Classic lifestyle brand Nautica takes some of its signature looks and translates them into looks meant to be layered with its fall 2012 collection. Featuring some of the season’s best hues from chocolate brown to a deep cobalt shade paired with assertive khaki, these pieces will easily meld into staples of your existing wardrobe.
As a sidenote, the brand recently raised a remarkable $125,000 to benefit their new charitable campaign, Give Change to Make Change, in order to fund clean water projects in developing nations. It was launched on World Water Day (March 22, 2012) because of Nautica’s deep ties with water and the inspiration the natural resource gives to the brand.

As avid fashion mavens, shoppers, and trend watchers, we’ve always heard that “less is more.” Sometimes we take that into consideration (ie: the simple yet iconic little black dress, the moderate use of bronzer), while other times we tend to throw that mantra to the wayside for the sake of fashion risks – for better or worse (ie: denim-on-denim ensembles, sequined leopard print). The latest trend in blouses, the embellished collar, appeals to both our love of conservative-chic pieces and our undeniable temptation to rebel.
