There are so many amazing footwear silhouettes and trends for fall/winter, but some of them may be tricky when it comes to figure out what to pair with them. Here’s my two cents on how to best style these particular footwear trends in order to make them, and you, look the very best! I’ve used some recent styles that I’ve been wearing (courtesy of Aerosoles) to explain the trends and how you can do it and make it easily work for your wardrobe.
This can certainly be a tough one, but here’s a great rule of thumb: pick up on one of the colors in the pattern, and wear something of that exact huefor your pants, dress, or skirt.Another option: since these shoes are primarily brown, what other shades go with it? Navy would look great, as well as a vibrant, or even a deep burgundy red. Just be wary of working too many colors into the mix — for the rest of your wardrobe then, pick up on a similar color then in the show, or go with a neutral — for example wear a cream top.
Nestled on the third floor right on Broadway between Prince and Houston streets, the ultra-convenient, uber-zen spa establishment spotlights Aveda products and training combo’ed with Eastern holistics and aromatherapy. I understand the value of a good day (or an hour or two) of pampering, so courtesy of Asanda Aveda Spa Lounge, I was able to try the Asanda Spa Facial, along with the Caribbean manicure and pedicure to get a good feel for the signature services provided. The facial was incredibly soothing and exceeded all expectations; I had an aromatherapy selection of three oils to use (I went with Bergamot), and loved how efficiently, yet gently, I was lulled into a state of relaxation while my face got the full treatment that it desperately needed.
The built-out, booth-like pedicure station had a relaxing bench and artful, wide sink basins that I dipped my tootsies into. I choose a great burgundy shade by Essie for my fingers and toes, and sunk even deeper into a relaxed state as my skin was exfoliated, softened, hydrated, prepped, and toe and finger nails painted. To New Yorkers and visitors of the city: you’d be remiss to not stop in Asanda Aveda Spa Lounge for a service; in addition to what I experienced, also available are makeup applications, eyelash extensions, massages, hair care, a full wall of products, and more! Plus, Weds – Saturday, the spa lounge is open from 9am-9pm – convenient for those of us always on the go and with a packed schedule.
