Something exciting that happens when the seasons change is that the color palettes change as well. You walk into a store and there is a sea of rich tones in front of you that directly relate to the weather outside. It is comforting knowing there is a change coming and you can look forward to getting a few new pieces that will show off your favorite colors of the seasons. With the summer there are light colors, such as those in flowers. For spring you will find pastels, and for winter you can find deep tones like pine green and rich browns. But a season we love the best for its colors is fall. Although these colors change every season, as a typical rule of fashion, there is a feeling that the jewel tones created each time around  leaves us yearning for those looks to hit the stores so we can get shopping. The colors are warm and beautiful, usually great on many different skin tones, and fit directly into what is already in the closet. The new color of this season: wine.

There is always a preview of what’s to come when we see the amazing looks strut down the runways during fashion week. Although we see them when we are approaching a completely different season, it keeps us looking ahead at what will come into stores when the fall finally approaches. When we saw the preview for this fall, there were a lot of rich burgundy tones in the looks that were stunning. For a light skin tone, they bring it to life and pull out all the pink tones that enhance young beauty, and for darker skin tones, they draw out a natural glow that only comes from such amazing jewel tones. From dresses, to jackets, to shoes and accessories, that color was everywhere, and we couldn’t get enough of it.

A few of our favorite brands have been using this color trend strongly in their fall collections. Jeffery Campbell has accented one of his studded loafers with a wine suede material. It looks great and adds a bit of flair to whatever outfit it is paired with. The entire look together is the perfect ode to fall. Stuart Weitzman accents his heels with an all-over burgundy wine color with a pop of gold on the top of the shoe. The cap toe trend, combined with the wine suede trend will definitely put you in the extreme style category.
