I’ve learned the hard way that when it comes to makeup removers, there can be quite a bit of variance in the end result. For the most part, the issues can relate to the residue left behind, the skin sensitivity in the delicate areas around the eyes, or even irritation within the eyes themselves. So how should a girl like me take off her makeup safely?
I’ve found that it comes down to the product used, along applicator for removal that can make a big difference. I’ve put together a total of 10 fantastic makeup removing products, broken into the best of the best under $10, and the best among niche and luxury brands. Since most of these are liquid, I recommend using a simple cotton round pad, preferably also proven to be hypoallergenic like this one from Target for use in removal. This flat yet absorbent shape can target and canvas your makeup in one fell swoop much easier than a cotton ball, which can encourage more rubbing that can lead to irritation. I hope that one of the items from this list becomes your new favorite makeup remover go-to!

[The best under $10 (from left to right): Simple Bi-Phase Eye Make-up Remover, $6.29; Almay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover Liquid, $4.99, Neutrogena Extra Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads, $6.99; No7 Beautiful Skin Oil Free Eye Make-Up Remover, $8.09; and Cetaphil Gentle Waterproof Makeup Remover, $7.99]

[The best of the high end (from left to right): IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup™ 3-in-1 Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm, $38; Dermalogica Soothing Eye Makeup Remover, $25; Estée Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, $20; Shiseido Instant Eye And Lip Makeup Remover, $27; VMV Hypoallergenics Makeup Removing Oil, $24]

Basic black opaque leggings will always be a staple when it comes to work out attire, but why not stand out from the crowd in your fitness class this summer with a pair that exudes color and style? Wherever you feel your best, be it running along the water, yoga on a rooftop, or building up a good cycling sweat on a bike indoors, there’s no denying that you’ll want to look and feel fantastic while executing your favorite movements. Below I’ve pulled eight pairs of leggings that embody both high-performance and cutting edge prints and hues in a range for those that aren’t afraid of donning rainbow brights to those who prefer just a small dose of color blocked fashion. This spring, Marc Jacobs has teamed up with British artist Julie Verhoeven to create a fashion collaboration, so it only makes sense that the concepts trickle over to the Marc Jacobs Beauty lineup as well. Several limited edition items that pay homage to a psychedelic color palette with pops of primary and pastel colors alike are born via two custom-designed pouches and a covetable box. Inside, you’ll find corresponding products such as the brand’s signature volumizing mascara and gel eyeliner, enamored hi-shine glosses, and enamored hi-shine nail lacquer. See below for links to each of the three extra special combinations from the Marc Jacobs Beauty X Julie Verhoeven Fashion Collection, available for a limited time at Sephora.com, MarcJacobsBeauty.com, MarcJacobs.com, and in-store at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.
