I’ve been waiting in anticipation of this particular item for a very long time, and the final product absolutely blew me away! As a longtime fan of
VMV Hyperallergenics, I enjoy the
non-comedogenic, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory benefits of its cosmetics thanks to its conscientious mix of ingredients and the star of
cold-first-pressed organic virgin coconut oil from its farm. The new
Boldly “Glow” Coconut Oil Skin Bloom Blush Stick includes the brand’s signature elements with the the addition of the antioxidant
green tea alongside mineral pigments and offers
four dye-free shades.
Besides being free of waxes that can irritate the skin, the sticks are also phthalate, paraben, and preservative-free, and are all packaged in gorgeous crushed shell tubes comprised largely of mother of pearl sustainably-sourced shells from the Philippines. Each shade comes in one of the three beautiful shell shades, with nine total shades total, including a bronzer and a highlighter.
I tried the stick in “Georgia,” a stunning bright pink shade that easily slid across my cheeks and with one swipe created the much-desired complimentary rosy glow. Despite the hydrating formula, when applied to a light skincare base of a CC Cream the blush stick had a surprisingly long-wear lifespan, making it through the day without a touch up. I’m certainly hooked, and can’t wait to show off this gorgeous specimen of a blush on my vanity, perhaps doubling it up from time to time to add a little flush of color to my lips as well.
Pick up the perfect shade for you for $60 at a VMV Hyperallergenics retailer or online at the brand’s website.

Perhaps it’s the evolution of the ‘boyfriend’ look, or the early 90s making a formidable fashion comeback (or the combination of both), but it’s easy to see that the shape of clothing for fall speaks volumes, and quite literally. From the waist through the ankle, pants are becoming more relaxed in fit, while tops and dresses are taking the liberty to balloon out in all directions.
All sorts of ruching details, such as pleating and gathering, have surfaced in order to reign in the superfluous shapes, while other accents, such as ripping and tearing, encourage the fabrics to flow freely. There may be some trepidation with committing to a new shape, but we at FPD will help you navigate by sharing how to style this spacious silhouette.

As fashion week continues to make its way around the globe, I wanted to take pause and marvel at the ingenious designs, craftsmanship, and overall creativity that is the undercurrent for spring 2018. Please enjoy some of my top picks that range from the most incredible of eveningwear to cool casual separates to bags, and over to the categories that always complete the look: nails, hair, and makeup.

[With a collection that expressed reverence for the past but looked to all that is modern and perhaps even a touch toward the future, I couldn’t help but love the simplicity of this bag, found in Louis Vuitton’s classic speedy silhouette. Image via Vogue.com.]

[A bit The New Look, a bit edgy modern (thanks to the print), Fendi’s fall 2017 was at once memorable and refreshing. Image courtesy of Fendi.]

It’s time to align your skin with both looking and feeling fantastic, and Jurlique has found the perfect way to take you there. The brand’s new shower gels and body lotions come in four sumptuous scents that boast a formula of pure organic botanicals grown in South Australia, free from sulphates, parabens, silicones, PEGs, artificial colors and fragrances. The mild ingredient range promises to cleanse yet hydrate without stripping the skin’s natural essence and oils away, including its own special medley of chamomile, licorice and rosemary extracts in the shower gels, and ultra rich avocado and macadamia oils in the body lotions.
The fragrance selections include Calming Lavender, Softening Rose, Refreshing Citrus, and Restoring Lemon, Geranium & Clary Sage. Personally, I’m partial to the scents of lavender and rose, but with the ultra quick absorption of the lotions and gentle cleansing qualities of the gels, you’d surely reach a heavenly state of contentment with any of the fragrances in the collection!
The new Jurlique Shower Gels retail for $24 for 300ml, while the NEW Jurlique Body Lotions are $39 for 300ml. Both are available at Jurlique.com.
