In addition to Gemma Redux‘s Classics and Metals lineup of jewelry comes the Graffiti Collection for spring 2015, a gracious pop of color drenched jewels that are both eye-catching and veer toward the subtle. Designer Rachel Dooley explained to me that while some pieces have a kaleidoscope of rainbow hues that are more overtly visible, others offer just a flash of color, in some cases hand-painted on the underside of the metals. Brilliant!
The slender, streamlined designs of the collection boast a variety of carefully-worked metals that range in hue from silver and yellow gold tones to rosier ones, oftentimes being thoughtfully blended in terrific ombré combinations of two or three shades at once. See the slideshow above for some of my top picks from the upcoming collection.
If you aren’t familiar with the brand, all Gemma Redux pieces are actually hand made in New York City, and has received accolades from publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and ELLE. The Gemma Redux 3/4 Hoops are one of the most innovative, coolest takes on a classic piece of jewelry that I’ve ever seen, and if you’d like to shop the brand before this spring collection arrives, head to Intermix, Paire.US, and GemmaRedux.com.

Great sportswear should be easy to wear, easy to pair, and look effortlessly sophisticated. For spring 2015, Nautica marries styles and functionality with a collection inspired by latitude; a brilliant way to rethink the brand’s hallmark of sailor stripes and nautical motifs. Favorites include comfortable and slightly structured updates to the sheath dresses, form fitted nylon jackets and vests, chambray blouses and lightweight crew neck knits sweaters, all found in a palette of predominantly blue and cream. See the slide show above for my top picks from the collection, which you can shop at Nautica.com in the spring, but there’s also some great holiday gift items, from wallets and tech items to watches, sunglasses, handbags, hats, and robes!

It’s not the world’s largest inconvenience by far, however with the only way to find the lipstick shade that looks best on you is via trial and error, it can certainly be time-consuming and costly. Now ALMAY has (thankfully) taken all of the guesswork out of finding your ideal shade starting this month, with the launch of its Smart Shade Butter Kiss Lipstick Collection. It’s pretty fool-proof actually; all you have to do is determine if your skin tone fits under light, light/medium, or medium, then decide if you want a berry, pink, nude, or red shade (or all four!).
The launch includes 12 total shades across each skin tone match, and will easily guide you to the right one with a label found on the bottom indicating the shade name and skin tone match, i.e. “berry-light.” The new lineup is also packed with hydrating ingredients, is hypoallergenic, super easy to use and find, and quite affordable. Each lipstick retails for $6.99 each, and can be found at drug and mass retailers nationwide as well as at ALMAY.com

Now that the holiday season is officially here, I’m sure that your calendar is already jam-packed with to-dos, but I bet you won’t find “win an awesome Tourneau watch” on it (yet!). I actually won this Tourneau TNY Series 35 Watch, and courtesy of the brand and retailer, the exact same one is up for grabs for an FPD reader!
It’s been a breeze to incorporate it into my personal style, featuring a light brown alligator strap and silver dial and stainless steel bezel with seamlessly works with both casual and more formal looks alike. Retailing for $760 at Tourneau, the watch design itself drew inspiration from my home of New York City, merging the clean, architectural design aesthetic found here into its over-sized dial structure with two layered plates and an ultra-slim bezel.
But enough about the watch – click below for the details on how to enter to win!
