Can you believe New York Fashion Week, Spring 2017 Collections begins next week? I hardly can believe it myself, and I’ve been prepping for it over the past few weeks! Follow along on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Snapchat (handle is @fashionpulse), and stop by FashionPulseDaily.com for show and trend reports along the way. Until then, here are a few gems that I’ve wanted to share before the long weekend; have a great Labor Day, everybody!

Maybe it’s due in part to being obsessed with Japanese culture, but the latest collection from essie, inspired by Tokyo, is a doozy! The color palette of six hues, if you ask me, can best be explained as the new, modern neutrals; a blue, a blush, and some modern orange and berry shades that will look absolutely stunning on fingers and toes alike (actually, I just painted udon know me on my toes). This fall launch of six fabulous shades is available now at essie.com, as well as fine salons and beauty destinations nationwide for $9 each.
Although they’ve only been in my possession for about a week, I can’t imagine how I’ve been functioning without a multistick, and as far as that’s concerned, one this good, until now. The 18 shade BITE Beauty Multistick ($24 each, at Sephora.com) is ultra creamy yet develops a silky finish in seconds, light as air and wipes off in a jiffy, without leaving awkward staining behind. Designated for cheeks, lids, and lips (I apply it in that order), place it on like you would a cream shadow or blush (by dabbing it on with your finger tips), and swatch it over your mouth as if you would a lipstick. Accentuate the peaks of your lips by filling in via a lip pencil. As always, BITE Beauty created the Multistick formula with natural and food-grade ingredients, so it’s great to know what a tremendous value the brand provides, in addition to overall killer colors. I will be wearing my new favorite, Nectar (pictured top left, above) throughout New York Fashion Week!

With the onslaught of New York Fashion Week, going into the circus of events with a zen state of mind is key, and a great body treatment will certainly help me get there. This week I experienced an incredible massage in a place tucked away on the 5th floor of a discreet office building, just mere steps from my own office. Had I known about it sooner, I could have achieved a relaxed state more often! Located at 127 E. 56th Street, Metamorphosis Day Spa is a family owned and operated relaxation and rejuvenation space where I had a fabulous massage that transported my anxieties away. Catering to my needs and injuries, and even providing some stretching options for my tight muscles afterward was a lovely added touch that Ingrid, my masseuse demo’ed for me.
This pretty much ensured I do my part to stay healthy and feel comfortable, but also won me over as a client. The space is intimate, quiet and relaxing, actually better than a ground level one as there is less distraction present. Consider giving it a go if you are in midtown east, and see its website for the list of services, which includes facials, waxing, various massages and scrubs, and more.
